Does anyone here think Birthcontrol Pills should be banned?

IT was not too long ago that the legality of birth control pills was a political issue. Some though they should be illegal and others fought for legality. Is anyone here in support of making them illegal or does anyone know someone who is?

What about teenagers having access to them?

I know some Catholics who believe the Pill has harmed society and they would support banning them.

Sandra Fu*k - ahhh h, excuse me I mean Sandra Fluke a liberal drama queen who Rush Limbaugh cleverly called a slut and who Obama called on the phone and asked her if she was alright after her ordeal wants me to pay for her pills.

I don't know of anybody who argues that they should be illegal, nor of anybody who actually said they should be. Most of the arguments I hear about them is whether somebody who disagrees with their morality due to a religious belief should be forced to pay for them in one form or another. Is it an infringement of their 1st Amendment rights to force them to go against their religious beliefs? That is the question, not whether they should be illegal.

You don't, like, personally know anyone who argues they should be illegal or you aren't aware of people more generally that argue that? Becuase there are plenty of right-wing social conservatives that would like to outlaw contraceptives. Hell, Rick Santorum (who I have to remind myself was actually in the lead at one point for the Republican nomination -- LOL) argues that states should be allowed to ban contraceptives. I mean, he's a fairly prominent guy.

I agree that is the current debate. I was asking if the older debate was still in question in anyone's mind.

So he hides it in a states rights argument, but what does he say about what states SHOULD do? Or does he leave it alone by merely throwing the states rights bone?

Damn that female sexuality. What was God thinking?

Oh, he's smart enough to hide it in a state's rights argument. The real argument, though, is that the precursors to Roe were all wrongly decided, inculding Griswold v. Connecticut. So it's just a piece of the overall argument that Roe v. Wade was wrongly decided and abortion should be made illegal.

I can honestly say I have never in my life in person heard someone say birth control shouldn't exist. Can't say I've been around too many discussions involving birth control but I've never heard anyone say that.

You should hang with Phil from Duck Dynasty. I bet he's got some opinions on the matter.

Murder should always be illegal.

Smart take.

Indeed. I always find that there is plenty of room for disagreement when it comes to Coke v Pepsi, GSP v Hughs, Macs v PCs, west v east, Sam's Club v Costco, Ford v GM, and Turtles v Power Rangers, but none when it comes to murder.
