If your point is that Democrats compromise and Republicans capitulate, I agree.
For argument's sake, let's say the GOP wants to cut the budget 50% and the Democrats want to increase it 50%. "Compromise" is always defined as an increase of 25%. It's never defined as a cut of 25%.
So yes, since you've added the word "capitulate," I agree. Democrats always compromise and Republicans always capitulate.

The Republican party as it exists currently does not have a base. What you call the base is the best funded and most organised group in the Republican party, but the policies they promote are only popular to a small minority of voters. That creates a death spiral for any political group that depends on votes to survive.
Its why the Tea Party has not left the larger Republican Party... they know they cant take enough voters with them to survive. All they can hope for is to bully the larger Republican party with money and organization.
