She Asked A Simple Question Of McDonalds President And Got Sent To Jail

She's Worked 10 Years At McDonald's. She Asked A Simple Question Of Its President. Then Cops Came.

is the headline.

Aox is not a liberal

She worked for 10 years without a raise, how stupid or incompetent is she?

Hey, *if* I was exploited early in my early career days, I certainly made the most of them and got something out of them.....I got a public school education. Turned it into something. Why cant other mentally and physically healthy people do that? Many many people do.

This woman seems to be at square one after 10 years. McD's does have manager training plans, does it not?

Yes they do, somehow though I figure they would figure that someone two, three, five, ten years in without a raise is not likely management material. Ya think?

Apparently the concept of free speech is alien to you.

I didn't see the government preventing her from speaking. She was arrested because she was trespassing. It happens to protesters often.

As for the topic of the thread, if she makes so little she can get government help. That's what it's there for. Nobody should expect to earn enough to support a family by working an entry level job. Sorry, but she had children she couldn't support. That's not the fault of anyone but her and the father of the children.

And what do you think would happen if McD's was forced to pay 15/hour? I think they would only hire people with educations and the people who have no education would have no jobs at all. After all, wouldn't someone working hard for $20/hour decide they would rather have an easy day on the job for 75% of the pay that they are currently busting their ass for? Then, the employers of skilled people would have to pay much more to keep their employees from leaving to work easier jobs for nearly the same amount. INFLATION! it's real and it happens.

According to news reports, she wasn't arrested, was she?

Salgado continued for about five minutes before she and other demonstrators were escorted out. According to a press release, the group was detained for an hour and threatened with arrest but ultimately released after receiving citations.

Yes. You are wise.

You work for big oil and wonder why people attack big corp.

You don't know that EVERY politician invests in big oil. You don't wonder why Big Oil receives HUGE profits when gas prices go up. Maybe you question, "Why are gas prices going up" while scratching your head. If you actually work for big oil, you are the biggest idiot I've ever met in political debate. One should know better, doesn't.
Wow uneducated couch surfing dad is an angry slacker!

Read what Obamas hometown newspaper says:

Salgado and six others were escorted out of the speech and held for more than an hour before they were released, proudly displaying their tickets for criminal trespassing.

When slacker mom interrupted him with her rant, he laid it down for her:

"I've been at McDonald's for 10 years," yelled Nancy Salgado, 26, who works at a McDonald's in Logan square.

"I've been at McDonald's for 40 years," Stratton replied, garnering applause from the audience.

Stratton began his career at McDonald's as a teenager behind the counter in a Detroit restaurant 40 years ago, making $1.60 an hour.

He held a variety of positions in the U.S. market before being named president of its West division in 2001.

He was soon named chief restaurant officer for McDonald's USA and took over the global position in 2005.

He must be evil, if in fact he's rich

She worked for 10 years without a raise, how stupid or incompetent is she?

So needlessly cruel. We think you're smart yet you painted a not-so-pretty picture of your own current circumstances.

I won't be mean enough to go further because I do feel bad for you in spite of everything.

You don't seem to know the standards in party lines.

Right Wingers are generally beer belly white men with a crustache/mustache.

Left Wingers are generally skinny vegetarians that are too smart for their own good.

Yep, this was profiling. Wanna know why it was ok? Because I didn't act on the profiling. I didn't stalk them and react to how I profiled them. Pretty simple stuff.

Spot on!

(Okay, I cracked myself up typing that.)

and to this day owes his success to his loyal employees whom he refuses to reward for their service to the company

He profited from the fact that 40 years ago men had way more opportunities to reach upper management than women did. How many women CEOs are there now, I wonder?

She's 26, so 40 years ago she wasn't even a zygote. You know how that works.

If you'd wanted to use that Google thing I taught you the other day, you'd have found this:

and to this day owes his success to his loyal employees whom he refuses to reward for their service to the company

Lots of loyal employees get rewarded when they perform service.

Time-serving isn't "performance".

There is no tenure for fry cooks and counter help.
