Emmett Till / Trayvon Martin - An Awakening to Racist Evil in America

vauge stuff that.

I saw NOTHING in the evidence that brought her testimony to question.

Site something real

If you can not explain yourself with actual evidence from the trial its NOT US doing the group thinking

I believe that racism can go away. I don't believe we can do it by widening the separation, and calling people racists just for disagreeing.

I'm pretty sure racists will stay racists whether we call them on it or not. They of course would prefer that we not call them on it; so they say that we shouldn't call people racists....

Do you really think someone like RazorX will become non-racist no matter how many examples we point out to him of black people being awesome? No matter how many supreme court justices, presidents, governors, business people, etc are African American? no matter how many young black men rescue abducted young girls? No matter what, RazorX will stay racist (as far as I can tell based on his comments on this board) although he may say "well, they aren't typical" or something like that.

Things that will change society are a) continuing to make racism socially unacceptable and b) continue to mix people up so people can no longer think of black people as "them" but rather as their neighbor, friend, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, cousin, classmate, co-worker, etc.

There are some racists who over the decades realize how wrong they've been. But it has to come from inside them; nothing we say will help.

Yeah - it is you. In a big, big way.

I've explained myself. I didn't say I believed or didn't believe anyone - just that there was enough conflicting testimony to give the jury doubt. And most accounts I've read from the legal field & even from "your" side say that the prosecution did a very poor job of it.

As I've said from the beginning, this is a tragedy all the way around. That doesn't mean that someone is guilty of murder.

and you have NEVER sited any of that said evidence because there was nothing in the record to impeach her testimony

Darla, with all due - you lost me when you said (paraphrasing) "shut up - you're trying to silence people."

Frankly, I don't care what you think about me, on this thread or any other. The groupthink BS on this thread is some of the worst I've seen; agree w/ us, or you're a racist. Oh - and don't comment on minority or women's issues.

I hope you understand there is a difference between commenting on race or women issues vs. saying that you have the solution for "that group" and they are overreacting. The latter is what you did; you decided to judge whether or not the reaction was appropriate or not. That's not your call to say how black people should react to the verdict.

if you cant outline your impeachment of her story with some facts you look pretty racist huh

I think there is plenty of evidence to create doubt about who attacked who in the end, and if TM was in fact beating GZ. For a jury, that's enough.

I have no respect for your opinion, at all. You decided GZ was guilty from day 1, and cherrypicked what you needed to in order to support that. It's actually you who is ignoring testimony to the contrary.

I never said how I thought black people should react to the verdict itself. Please don't twist what I said.

I think the comparison of the OP is way off, and I backed that up with an argument. BAC refuted that argument. That's how it should go; not "well, we can't really question this one, because we're not black."

Just because a few people agree doesn't make it group think.
Man up, apologize to BAC and lets move on.

I knew Zimmy was lying because the actual facts did not match his story.

they were not found near the sidewalk.

the blows to his head were not severe enough to be caused by bashing his head against concrete ( he would have gotten a concusive injury).

He rushed Trayvon

that is what the ear witness heard.

NONE of the evidence disputs that ear witness testimony.

he rushes Trayvon and trayvon instincticely punches him in the face.

Zimmy goes down hard and hits his head on the ground causing all the Injuries.

Trayvon gets on top and calls for help so he can hold the guy for the police.

then zimmy bransihes the gun and they struggle.

He shoots trayvon in the chest killing him.

Now mine matches all the evidence.

Zimmys doesnt

WTF are you talking about?

The facts are not in dispute;

Zim was told by the police not to get involved.

Zim got out of his car and approached an unknown to him black child.

Zim shot the child to death.

At a minimum he is guilty of manslaughter, though in reality, 2nd degree Murder would be far more appropriate, and as far as I am concerned Murder One would be just.

You are out of your fucking mind.

Do you seriously think I care, Captain Birdseye. What makes me laugh most is that Cape Cod must be one of the whitest places in the USA.

Still I Rise
You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may trod me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I'll rise.

Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
'Cause I walk like I've got oil wells
Pumping in my living room.

Just like moons and like suns,
With the certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,
Still I'll rise.

Did you want to see me broken?
Bowed head and lowered eyes?
Shoulders falling down like teardrops.
Weakened by my soulful cries.

Does my haughtiness offend you?
Don't you take it awful hard
'Cause I laugh like I've got gold mines
Diggin' in my own back yard.

You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I'll rise.

Does my sexiness upset you?
Does it come as a surprise
That I dance like I've got diamonds
At the meeting of my thighs?

Out of the huts of history's shame
I rise
Up from a past that's rooted in pain
I rise
I'm a black ocean, leaping and wide,
Welling and swelling I bear in the tide.
Leaving behind nights of terror and fear
I rise
Into a daybreak that's wondrously clear
I rise
Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave,
I am the dream and the hope of the slave.
I rise
I rise
I rise.

Don't congratulate yourself too fast. Your moral superiority is self-proclaimed and not worth much.

Of course it's not possible that YOU are a victim of group-think. It's just a coincidence that 99 percent of the people who agree with you are white men.

Your race is the default race, your gender the default gender, therefore, it follows that your opinion, must be the default one.

Smug, clueless, and self-pitying.
