I never said it is not... I said its a fundamental right. Most fundamental rights are covered in the Constitution, some would argue that all Fundamental Rights are covered in the Constitution.

Right, this is a new change. But you cannot claim that it has not been fundamentally changed, unless the only thing you use to define marriage is that there be differences in genitalia involved, regardless of whether the bride is property or there are a dozen women involved.

"Marriage" is a fundamental right. What gay people want, is to call their homosexual relationships "marriage" when that's not what marriages are. You don't have the fundamental right to change the definitions of things to conform to whatever you intend to do. A gay male has the fundamental right to choose a willing female partner and marry her, there is no prohibition of this as far as I know. A male or female, whether gay or straight, is not permitted to "marry" someone of the same gender, because that isn't "marriage." In the exact same way that marrying a dead person isn't "marriage," or marrying a horse isn't "marriage."
The fundamental right covered in the Constitution pertains to marriage as traditionally defined, that is the problem with your argument. You are trying to make it apply to something that isn't marriage.

No, because "interracial" marriages are almost impossible to avoid, regardless of what the law says. Discrimination of marriages based on race was just that, discrimination based on race, and that is why it's now perfectly legal for people of differing races to marry, even thought, this has been going on for centuries.
How was it discrimination based on race? Black people were free to get married , they had to follow the same rules as white folks.... Find someone of the same race to marry....

That is funny! You asked me a question and then answered it yourself. It was discrimination based on race because they discriminated based on... wait for it.... RACE!
Now, considering there are no pure white or black races, it's damn near impossible for two people "of the same race" to marry. And when we look at the laws prohibiting interracial marriages, we see that they didn't try to prevent Asian-Latino marriages, or Arabic-french marriages, just black and white marriages, based on color of skin. Since color of skin has nothing to do with actual race, and since the purpose and intent was only to deny black and white people from marrying, the laws were struck down, and rightly so.
With gay marriage, no one is being prohibited from marrying, you just want to call something else marriage.
