My Thoughts on Tonight's Election

President Obama has claimed a decisive victory. While this isn't the result I like or expected, the President will have my respect and, as far as it is possible, my support in his second term. My hope is that he will have the wisdom required not only to restore our economy, but unite us as a people. In the end, whether we are Republican, Democrat, or Independent, we are all Americans.

I request that both sides would refrain from personal attacks in this thread - I would like to keep it as positive as possible. The bottom line is that I was wrong about tonight...very wrong. It is a humbling experience, and I believe now is the time for conservatives to begin the process of reflecting and soul-searching for the future of our Grand Old Party.
 
My only thought on this evening is to marvel at how magnificently the news media managed to say nothing in so many words.
 
ObamaCare is secured. The "pay or die" philosophy is now a thing of the past. Compassion has won against the almighty dollar. From the drug companies to the makers of hospital furniture the writing is on the wall. The suffering and death of fellow Americans is no longer a gold mine to be exploited. The reversal is in full force. Now the bones of the vultures will be picked.

An Obama win is a win for all mankind.

I think it's very male to have smugly predicted for weeks, the exact opposite of what actually happened, and then come on to share your thoughts about the events.

I mean, honestly if your thoughts were worth anything you would have gotten something right. Yet you still assume they are of high-value. With hubris like this you could be a highly paid political pundit or advisor. Maybe I will call you the Bob Shrum of the JPP board.

And where are you 3-D weren't you supposed to be gloating over all of the Lib suicides this morning?

Oh well, I guess this hillbillywhore I know was wrong after all - it wasn't a "anybody but Obama year". That's what you get for taking anything a kid, or a uneducated dropout says seriously.

Tax on the avarsge income set to rise from about 50% to around 76%.

I hope that was the revenge to cop killer told his followers to vote for!!

My infant son is now tethered to a hundred grand in debt, just like all American children!

Elizabeth warren took the senate seat, famed for helping workers by working for travelers denying payouts to asbestos victims.
Standing up to big banks and helping the middle classes by making it impossible to buy a home!!

America is in trouble!!

A massive range of multiple tax increases are about to hit us, that's not race, that's taxing the ordinary worker in the USA a crippling amount.
Currently 50% soon to be 76%!
That's not race, that's money.

Perhaps this is the revenge he spoke of?

This is the same math they were going to turn Mitt into Landslide Romney with.

And they still think they are taken seriously by anyone other than the mentally ill.

For instance it would have been graceful for me to make a post like this.

But I'm not known for my grace. Neither is Voltaire who is a humiliated man trying to forestall any liberal laughing in his face.

If you think your tax is lower you are the one with mental issues.
Take a calculator and punch in your annual income, subtract state and fed income tax, Medicare, social security.
That gives you your take home pay .
Now subtract property tax.
Now add up all your spending on a different calculator, minus sales tax, then add that figure to your original budget, tax on gas, alcohol, meals etc ,
Do that and tell me it's not 50%!

Do I need a third calculater to add up my shoes? Which column do I subtract my manicures from? I get the gel so they add up! Shellac only of course. You are not talking to a prole you know! Is there a separate column for Shellac? If you don't have a separate column for Shellac I cannot take you seriously, sorry.
