NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Business owners are leaning toward Mitt Romney this presidential election, with 47% supporting him over President Obama, who trails with only 35%.

The rest are either undecided or not voting. Romney's lead was detailed in a survey published Tuesday by online small business community Manta, which polled 1,854 owners of small companies nationwide.

Maybe small business owners do support Romney overall, but a survey isn't a scientifically valid tool to measure their support.

Did you post this in evince's thread or do you only share such wisdom in threads that note a trend away from what you want...

You may notice that I don't generally post in evince's threads, except where I think people are being unfair to her. You guys are more than up to the task. No need for me to pile on.

who is unfair to evince? and what do you consider unfair?

for the record, you have never posited your theory about polls in a thread where the poll favors dems. nice try nigel.

My "theory" isn't about polls. It's about surveys. Polls and surveys are different.

nice dodge of both questions. your first line is nothing but what you already stated. no surprise you can't actually answer the question, because you know if you do, your partisan hack colors will shine through. the only real difference between surveys and polls is the length or number of questions.

you just showed how little you know dung. good job.

The bold is hilarious, particularly in light of your closing sentence. Google "Dunning Kruger." You'll learn a lot about yourself.

back to the lame one liners

you have jack nigel....else you would have eagerly shown how i'm wrong. why don't you explain to us the difference between a poll and a survey and explain why you posited your theory in a thread about a survey and not a poll.

my hunch is you won't.

I don't know why I bother but . . .

For starters, surveys generally suffer from sampling bias which alone invalidates their results.

i find it funny that tom said the same thing to someone else a few minutes before you

Have you ever heard of the Dunning–Kruger effect, you could have been a case study.

do you guys PM each other talking points?

you mean the individual that is running all around the board calling every conservative a sociopath because she disagrees with them politically? The person that started swearing at me and going epleptic because I was talking about the "ignore legion club" and she extrapolated that to mean all conservatives constantly run and hide from the truth because we are vicious sociopath liar lovers? Her?
