A pregnant fourteen-year-old girl secretly delivered her baby with a pair of scissors in the family bathroom before throttling the boy to death and hiding the body in a shoe box.
Cassidy Goodison, 14, has been charged as an adult with first degree murder after police learned how she killed her child following months of fearfully disguising her pregnancy from her mother and father.

Her harrowing case has shocked even experienced officers and graphically illustrates the problems of the 750,000 teenage Americans who fall pregnant every year.

Teenage girls in America are Victims: they are denied the right to seek birth control or sex planning services from clinics without their parents being notified first. Schools aren't allowed to teach birth control or provide condoms to sexually active teens who ask for them--because self righteous parents forbid it. Then when these teen girls get pregnant--they have nowhere to turn. Then they cant get an abortion because parents demand they be notified first if their daughter wants an abortion--so these girls are terrified. Many American parents don't believe in abortion, so these pregnant girls are terrified their mothers will force them to keep a baby they absolutely do not want. This 14 year old girl is a Victim--a victim of lawmakers & parents who refused her the right to seek medical care in private... I know I'll get 300 thumbs down, but teenage American girls are treated just as badly as girls in Afghanistan.

They don't really give a damn...it's just another one of the 'moral issues' that are nothing more that screams from attention whores.
 
is this girl really a threat to society? charging her with 1st degree murder seems way too much. she's being charged as an adult, but she's 14 years old and obviously who can understand that kind of stress and emotion she was going through. seems really fucked up.

Intentional and deliberate killing of a child, the hiding of the corpse suggests that she was in her right mind enough to try to cover up her crime. I guess a case for trying as a juvenile could be made, but really this looks like textbook first degree murder.

And our society really detests infanticide, really really detests it. She's not likely to find much sympathy in a courtroom.

i agree, 14 years old should not be tried as an adult. convict her under juvi laws and she will get out at 21, at least that is way cali works.

that is not true at all. your speculation degrades women and puts them in the same box as this severely disturbed girl.
