I should probably rephrase. He is obviously smart. Politically he doesn't appear to have a handle on what to do.

Like too many republicans he is afraid to smack the big eared loser in the mouth for fear of the Obama stenographers

I still believe that Americans don't want four more years of this mess. Hell even some of you libs will probably secretly vote for Romney you just won't tell anyone

Logical folks know things are not going back to the way they used to be. Just as manual labor jobs decreased due to mechanization inventions (communication, computers, etc.) opened up alternative employyment opportunities. Now that the typical factory/plant work has decreased there is nothing to replace it. Until/unless an alternative comes along or there is a shortage of items there is no need for everyone to work. There has to be desire by the public for an item before jobs in large quantities become available. The result is there has to be some kind of adjustment to society taking that into consideration.

What the answer is I don't think many people know but they do realize the government has to be involved. Medical care is the obvious example. It can no longer be tied to someone's job as jobs are temporary. That's why Romney is failing. Government, like ObamaCare, he wants to cut but he doesn't have an alternative. What are the people going to do? If simply left to their own devices crime is going to soar.

The dilemma, if you will, is there is plenty of everything but not enough money to buy it. Sort of the opposite situation that usually results in high prices. Do farmers deliberately cut back food growing to maintain high prices while people go hungry?

Looking at third world countries we know what a Republican outcome would be. The majority of people would fall into poverty unless Romney knows of jobs that are going to appear and he's keeping it a secret.

It is hard to imagine someone so ignorant of basic economics. But yet here you are.

So you are saying you would turn to crime if you were poor?

The problem is that voters are not as stupid as you imagine. Those JOBS (the word you were looking for) are not going to return and nothing Romney says indicates that he has any idea of how to return them. Not even easing pollution restrictions will return those jobs. How about a trade war with China? No, not without destroying many other higher paying jobs.

Romney has nothing to offer because he is a lying pos as is the Republican establishment. Again, read David Stockman and why he left the Reagan administration. If Romney really wants to cut government he could prove that by starting with cutting it from the crony capitalist. Until he and the Republican establishmnet do so they are nothing but big government, New Deal PROGRESSIVE, KEYNESIAN, racist, socialist who have a preference for white rich male believers.

What are you talking about? ObamaRomney and the Republicrat establishment are all for keeping plenty of people in prison, creating a police state and cracking heads of anyone who complains about flushing their toilets. You don't have to worry fraidycat. That is not likely to change.

If you are the libertarian you claim to be then you believe in the free market. In a free market coal would dominate. Now if you want to interfere with that market maybe you are a faux libertarian

Yeah, yeah, yeah, lets get rid of the limitations that are meant to protect the poor and hinder polluting corporations first then we will be libertarian. Save it! It won't help anyway.

Be honest and go after the corporate welfare recipients FIRST. That's how Romney COULD HAVE won and appealed to everyone. It's too late for him. If the GOP does not heed this it will be too late for the party.

Nobody trusts the fake version of limited government and that is all you know. That fake version dooms the real advocates of limited government and empowers those who only want to grow the government.

Who gets more subsidies gas or coal? I don't know, but the answer is to stop the subsidies that only benefit the rich, not the limitations that are meant to protect us.

David Stockman knows the score. He was on the inside. He is more libertarian than you and certainly more than Romney or Ryan.

It's hard to imagine someone so ignorant in the ways of the world. But here you are. On a politics board, no less.

Have you ever travelled to a resort in a poor nation? A nation lacking adequate social policies? If so, why do you think they tell you to stay near the resort and not travel around the island/country? Well, I'll tell you. Poor people will take your wallet and your watch and if really hungry and you resist they just might take your arm along with the watch. If it's a world where one makes their own "good fortune", a jungle, why not?

Would I turn to crime if I was poor? Fortunately, I live in a country with social policies. Would you turn to crime if your child was hungry and you had no other way to obtain food? If your child was severely ill and you couldn't afford a doctor would you just sit there and watch him/her suffer?

There will be changes. Crime will soar unless additional laws/restrictions are put in place. From gated communities to airport screening to security guards in buildings and malls there will be an increase in the monitoring of people if society worsens.

Maybe they're already preparing for that.
