The problem with working to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, in the name of a non-proliferation agenda, is that the U.S. refuses to take their own nukes off the table, thereby leaving open the option for themselves to use nukes. This might be true if there were no Jews in Israel during the interim period and therefore they had "no claim"... However we know there were, they even performed terrorist attacks (see King David Hotel)...

The reality is they had exactly the same claim the "Palestinians" had as they lived there. The UN accord presented actually split up the land based on where the larger portion of each lived.

The above is true. Further as you can see I state clearly that after 60+ years no one can legitimately claim that Israel should not exist now. Most of the people in the US that are so impassioned about Israel are because they believe that through Israel's existence, the end if times are almost here. They want to protect Israel at all costs so that scripture can be fulfilled and we can all go to our cloudy gold paved home in the sky. NOTHING I have said is anti-semitic. Nothing I have said denies the legitimacy of Israel now. My only claim is that we have no further interest in being so closely associated with Israel and that in many ways it is harmful to us.
