Ahhh, I think you've solved the mystery. To them it's self-evident as they didn't evolve.
It may be the members who make up the party are becoming less intelligent and less civilized but I think it's just a case of them speaking out more. They probably held those perverted, obnoxious beliefs all along but never voiced them. Like the wacko who suggested a woman can "de-fertilize" an egg if she's raped. Sort of built in birth control. That would explain their objection to abortion and contraceptives. No need for them. All the woman has to do is wish it away.
The Repub party is full of fruitcakes and people think Romney is going to be a moderate. Romney has no power in the party. The Cheneys and the McCains and the aforementioned wacko....the war mongers and the women haters and the social fabric/safety net destroyers....they're the majority and the power in the Repub party. That's why Romney can say anything and then change his mind. It doesn't matter what he says. There are too many, to use your word, "nutters" in the Repub party for Romney to make any significant change.

The Repub party is riddled with in-your-face liars. They don't even hide the fact they lie. They're a parody of a political party just like Bravo and PiMP are a parody of political board debaters.

The reality is it isn't a man issue, at all. It has absolutely nothing to do with a man. We're talking about a woman's body. Perverted men have inserted themselves into the issue. That's a major part of the problem.

As for my grand child I won't have a grand child until there is a birth. And I didn't have a house until it was built. And I didn't have a job until I was hired. And I didn't eat supper until it was cooked. And....do you get the point? It's all about "time". And when I do have a grand child it will be taught a woman's body is HER body. Not his. Not a politician's. Not a doctor's. Not the neighbors. HER body to do with as she pleases and if he's as fortunate as I he will meet a lady who will offer her body freely and there is nothing, absolutely nothing, that compares to a lady freely offering a man her body. No shyness. No inhibitions. Trusting the man will treat her with the same care and respect and gentleness he shows his own body.
That, my son, is what it's all about and unless we, as a society, ensure every woman has the unconditional right/authority/ownership/ of her own body she can not offer it freely to anyone else and I'll be damned if anyone tries to stop that because that's what I currently enjoy and I'm not giving it up.
