I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.
~Martin Luther King, Jr.

today we have so many on the left constantly bringing up the color of skin of our presidential candidate's. many on this site also ridiculed clint eastwood for his skin color, white. we constantly hear how obama is black and romney is white. who is talking about skin color? nearly all of the talk is coming from the left. can we start to focus on the content of their character and not judge them by the color of their skin?

can you cite some examples? on this board i can cite darla, zappa, howey, rune etc....to back me up...i can also pull up comments from chris mathews etc...if you like.

but, to claim the left does not bring up skin color, is to be in in absolute denial. just look up romney is white on this board to see the extend of your denial.

those on the left have been posting...yet oddly, they avoid responding to this thread.

is it because crying racism, constantly talking about skin color is nothing but a hack technique and they know it, therefore are ashamed to respond to this thread?

We bring up skin color because the right makes skin color such an issue.

You may fool yourself into thinking that voter-id laws aren't about skin color, but it doesn't fool anybody else.

You may fool yourself into believing that "welfare" isn't programmed code for black people, but it doesn't fool anybody else.

You can delude yourself into believing much of the insane opposition to Obama isn't because he's black .. but if you believe that, you truly are deluded. Notice that I said INSANE opposition .. because I don't support Obama, but my opposition is not based on his birth certificate, his religion, his "americanism" or any of the other absolutely insane racist code.

That's just the obvious stuff .. what is less obvious but clearly evident is the deeper racial undertones to this election. By the next presidental election in 2016, your virtually all-white base will have shrunken even further. America will be no longer be a majority white nation.

Like it or not, America is becoming a post-white nation

Right-wingers don't like other people .. and other people don't like right-wingers. I'm not suggesting that righties have to like anybody they don't want to .. but they shouldn't act surprised when they're left standing alone.

I'd imagine that many may not feel you're sincere in your questioning. Do you really want an answer or dialouge, or are you looking for gotcha' points?

Speaking solely for myself, I just don't see the point in feeding the trolls anymore. Smarm isn't smart.

No. Really it's about prejudice. The people who have dragged America down and out of the light of respect have been, almost to a man, republican. The people who have, usually quite modestly, worked for the general betterment of the US have been Democrats.
But where the electorate is ignorant of politics, policies, humanity and the world, then decisions must be based upon prejudice. Obama's policies have been in line with good democratic principals, they mesh well with other progressive nations, given time your country will emerge as a better place.
But because of a widespread ignorance right wing people, like all children, want the sweets (candy to you) now.
Its no good telling them they must wait until you get them from the shop. No good telling them you have to save some money first, no good telling them they must do their chores first.
Now! Waaa! I want NOW! Waaa Waaa Waaa.
If they cant have what they want now it is someone else's fault.

'you know why you are dirt poor, Irving?
'Nah?'
'Govmint.'
'yeah. Muss be. Aint me so it must be govmint.'
'Who's the government?
'Black guy.'
'Proves it then, don't it?'
'Sure does.'

There are lions and roaring tigers
And enormous camels and things
There are biffalo-buffalo- bisons,
And a great big bear with wings
There's a sort of tiny potomus
and a tiny nocerous too
But I gave buns to the troller
When I went down to the zoo.

Needless and unnecessary war is not a democratic principle, nor is it in line with other progressive nations who do not go to war and mass-murder innocent people for profit .. nor is the killing of an American citizen without trial or due process a principle of any progressive.

Obama may be less dangerous than Romney, but he is not a progressive and he's never been a progressive.

And your imagining is spot-on, which is why most of us have him on ignore. Blocking his gas is the easiest way to avoid it. That way, you only see the posts of his that you want to, by utilizing the 'view this post' feature.

the party that is sooooo white its party can not get even one percent of black voters to vote for their guy has NO right to talk about what is the proper amount race should be discussed

The fact that you on the right refuse to understand that is just more testiment to how racist filled the republican party is.
