IF ROMNEY WINS... my post the next day!

Unlike the way many Republicans treated President Obama, I belive we should embrace Romney and hope and expect that his vision will be good for America. That does not mean I want the Democratic legislators to lay down and not fight for what they belive to be best for America... It simply means we should not fight him simply for the sake of tearing him down.

My post will be to wish him luck and to express my hope that I was wrong and that he was the better choice. I will support his presidency (that does not mean Ill promote all of his decisions) and I will hope and expect that the economy gets better, that is I will wish him success in the goals that we share, regardless of if I belive in the means by which he tries to promote those goals.

THe economy is and has been on an upward trajectory, I hope that trajectory gets even better. I will not wish for his failure.

Are you insinuating that conservatives HOPED that Obama would fail? I must disagree. I think most of us KNEW he would fail, and we have been proven correct.

Im not saying I wont critize him or point out his mistakes, I am simply going to hope that I am wrong about what I belive is best for America.

PS, I also belive Romney to be MUCH more liberal than he is pretending to currently be.

Not only did you assholes hope for his failure, but you have been actively working for it for 3 plus years, and it is a matter of record, hardly debatable,
and at the expense of the entire country, but most notably the poorest of the poor.

I hope and expect that if Romney wins, the Democrats will seek to find common ground and make progress in every area possable.

Hey hooked on phonics, read the post again and look up the words if you can't understand them...oh, never mind. I'll try to slow it down and use smaller words. I said MOST of us KNEW he would fail. I'm pretty certain the number wasn't 100%. And I agree with you, every goal he attained was won with hardly any GOP votes(some "passed" without even going through congress!) so I'm assuming MOST (there's that word again!)of the republicans left on the hill after 2008 were, indeed, busting their collective butts to block obama's agenda. That's what we elected them for. Do you think the dems left in congress will do anything different if romney wins? And from my perspective, conservative opposition to obama's policies is NOT at the expense of the country. Don't be such a sorehead.

You are being more than just a tad naive. Romney has nothing at all in common with most people on this planet. He has made a lot of money and that is basically his cv. As such he knows how to exploit, how to cut minimum wages, how to send even more jobs abroad and how to stamp on the poor of your country.
And here is a bet for anyone still not sure.
I will bet that, in the extremely unlikely event that this person is successful, he makes moves to get his likeness on Mount Rushmore as the first ever Mormon to take over a country.
If not Mount Rushmore his statue will be placed before any and every public building in America.
THAT is his motivation. He despises you and he despises ALL people who are not like him. His aim and the aim of his 'church/temple/call it what you will' is to take over America and influence the world.

It's called a self fulfilling prophecy. Putting the defeat of one politician ahead of the needs of the country is not what most people elect congressmen for.

Wow... Jughead is actually allowing his mind to think this might be a real possibility? That's a change!

What we see here is Jughead's typical 'gesturing' ...it's usually in the form of 'condemning' something that his side has said or done that he knows can't be defended. Somehow, it makes it alright for him to continue to support these maggots because he "strongly condemns" something on a message board... but what does that really mean? It's just words, followed by no actions. Same thing with this, Jughead claims he won't be hostile toward Romney, he'll support him going forward... (but he'll oppose basically everything Romney does.) Nice little caveat he gives himself there, isn't it?

I know of NO ONE who wished for Obama to fail. Most of us knew his policies would fail, and they did. I know of NO ONE who dislikes Obama because of his race, but that is constantly the charge against ANY who oppose his ideas. I guess I should take a page out of Jughead's playbook here and say that I "strongly condemn" anyone who doesn't like Obama because he is black, but frankly, I don't know of anyone who has stated such a thing. If they do exist, I strongly condemn them! There! Now I can oppose Obama and everything he does, because I have "strongly condemned" those who don't like Obama because he is a black man. Something tells me I will still be accused of being racist.

Let me ask a question here to the liberals... How many right-wing Fox News types have been out there referring to the president as "Mr. Obama" instead of "the president" or "President Obama?" During the Bush years, liberal media literally refused to call Bush the president! They constantly referred to him in their stories as "Mr. Bush!" I don't think I've heard Obama referred to as "Mr. Obama" once.
