Obama wants to raid Medicare to pay for Obamacare! To the tune of about $600 billion over 10 years.

Ryan wants to reform the program, so that seniors over 55 see no change whatsoever, and the system can be put back on the road to financial solvency for future generations.

If we were talking about a patient on an operating table (Medicare) and the tale of two surgeons (Ryan and Obama)... Ryan wants to perform a triple bypass, thus allowing the patient to live on for many more years, by fixing the problem. Obama wants to extract the fillings in the patients teeth and check their pockets for cash!

Ryan's plan keeps the Medicare "cuts" of the Affordable Care Act. Then he wants to cap Medicare spending at GDP+0.5%, just like Affordable Care Act. Look it up. The difference is how each plan hopes to achieve those spending levels.

If anyone if parroting political spin it's you. Pricing support is vouchers. The Ryan plan would leave seniors to the tender mercies of Wall Street Sharks who could give a rats ass less about anyones well being and are only concerned with maximizing short term profits, by any means necessary. So you give seniors their pricing support/vouchers and if that aint enough to pay for a private sector insurance premium tough shit, pay up or go with out.
