Mitt did not pay any taxes for 10 years!

reid admitted he doesn't know if the rumor is true

lol
I know that's the beauty of the ploy. Plausable deniability. lol

Odds are Mitt, as any wealthy person who can afford a cadre of tax attourney's, used the tax code to minimize his tax burden to well below the percentage you average person pays. Nothing unusuall there for a wealthy business man but for a politician running for high office, that can hurt politically. That's the corner Dems are trying to paint him into and I have to admit I'm beginning to get curious myself.

Not that it matters. I'm comitted to voting for Obama on the basis that he Bin Ladin was tracked down and killed on his watch.

It is funny in that when this subject is brought up that you can literally smell the fear and panic from Republicans. If Mitt is manuevered into showing his tax returns for 10 years and even if he did nothing unlawful, if he played a disproportionately low percentage of a very, very, large income in taxes, it will hurt him politically.

once again

REID ADMITTED HE DIDN'T KNOW IF THE CLAIM WAS TRUE

you liberals are so desperate it is truly laughable

if this claim had any legs, it would not be anonymous source

You are quite the buffoon. There is zero fear. It is hilarious that you seem to think he has been maneuvered. As Grind stated, he can come out and say, 'given that I have not shown my taxes to people at Bain, Reid is flat out lying' Done. Reid looks like the partisan hack he is and it is over. Or Reid can trot out the 'anonymous Bain guy' that somehow knows Romney's tax history.

My guess is Reids imaginary friend will be a no show.

The real fear is coming from the true believers in Saint Obama. Their worlds are unraveling and they are desperate for anything to talk about other than the abysmal economic record of Obama.

Tell us Mutt... if Romney's returns showed $30mm in income and an effective tax rate of 15%... how would that damage him if he simply obeyed the tax code? Are you suggesting that he (who does not want tax increases) should pay more than he is required when you and other libs have proclaimed there is nothing wrong for Obama (who does want to tax the 'rich' more) to refuse to pay more than he is required?

If you think Mitt Romney's enormous wealth and low tax rates wouldn't be an issue for him in a campaign where he is running on tax increases for middle class folks and tax cuts for rich people like him while Obama is proposing the opposite, you really ought to have your head examined.

What tax increases for the middle class is Romney 'running on'??? His plan will lower the federal income tax brackets on the lower/middle income by the same percentage as the upper brackets.

Do highlight where/how you think the overall federal taxes for a person in the middle income brackets will increase

There was just a study out today from The Tax Policy Center. Here:

http://www.taxpolicycenter.org/UploadedPDF/1001628-Base-Broadening-Tax-Reform.pdf

Their conclusion, in short:

Our major conclusion is that any revenue-neutral individual income tax change that incorporates the features Governor Romney has proposed would provide large tax cuts to high-income households, and increase the tax burdens on middle- and/or lower-income taxpayers.

And before you bitch about the source, you would do well to recall that the Rmoney campaign described it's analysis of then-candidate Rick Perry's plan as "objective, third-party analysis.

LMAO.... you of all people should NEVER, EVER complain about whether or not someone else tries to make an issue out of the source.

so you are wrong by stating he is "running" raising taxes. that isn't true. this is purely a speculative study. not what he actually running on.

It's not a speculative study. It's an analysis of the actual policy proposals Rmoney is running on to the extent he has articulated them in sufficient detail.
