Thank you brother. E-7 isn't easy .. as she has discovered. But as usual, she's up to the challenge.

She's adopted the newborn baby of one of her fellow soldiers who had PTSD so bad that she is incapable of raising a chiuld .. and who was also on the verge of suicide.

I just could not be more proud of her.

I sympathize. PTSD isn't easy to deal with. It's the reason for my insomnia.

First you claim socialists don't belive in democracy .. now you claim its used to "buy votes." That's just stupid.

As a socialist I believe in the common good, what's best for the whole, not just what's best for me. But you have no idea, no clue what socialism is .. so you wouldn't know that. :0)

It's highly classified, an ammo tech wouldn't know about it. The people who program the logistics and work with this technology, are not authorized to tell us about it. EMPs are not actual munitions, like a bomb or bullet, to my understanding.. so again, an ammo tech wouldn't be aware of such a thing.

My friend is not full of shit, I have every reason to believe what they told me. This came about in a conversation we were having about Iran's threats to nuke Israel, to which he reassured me, IF it ever came down to them seriously making a move to launch, we have the capacity and capability to stop it with the flip of a switch.

Yes, the "fucking peaceniks" or is that the fucking "pieceniks"? Young men, at home, using their balls instead of getting them blown off by Bouncing Bettys. They were doing their best to prevent other young men from being butchered in the slaughter of war. Maybe you should consider how many lives they saved.

Maybe they should consider how many lives they cost, by getting the politicians to get involved to the point where those young men serving had to go and take a hill, then leave it, just to have to retake it the next week.
OH-WAIT; you mean those young men that they spit on, when they returned and called them baby killers.

It always baffles me when you get people like USF saying that the US could have won the war if it wasn't for those pesky protestors. Short of bombing Hanoi with nuclear weapons, just about everything was tried including Agent Orange, cluster bombs, thermobaric weapons and B-52 carpet bombing of the north, Laos and Cambodia. If nuclear weapons had been used that would have guaranteed the Russia and China involvement directly. Curtis Le May and William Westmoreland were adamant that nuclear weapons should have been used, God only knows what would have happened if their council had prevailed.

No, the young men who were being drafted and believed the lies told by the politicians and college recruiters. Those young men who wrongly believed they would be heroes fighting for their country when the whole thing was a perverse lie.
 
Here's the bottom line... I am all for democracy; what I am NOT for is mob rule. When a religious party comes into power and forces its moral code onto the general population, there is a problem. Why many liberals refuse to acknowledge this is simply beyond me.

Or how the protests at home, along with Fonda's visit, supported the North Vietnemese.
