Did yurt welch on a bet?
nope. dung did though.....
Did yurt welch on a bet?
Oh, looky - you forgot this part:
What 'bidding' do you think Soros expects when he donates to campaigns and PACs?
What 'bidding' do you think financial titans like Bain Capital expect when they donate?
Still having trouble seeing the difference?
"Position" there refers to physical location, not to an opinion as you would have it. You're just compounding your misusage here.
So would I. It'd be totally awesome for Romey to legitimize the Bain line of attack by criticizing Obama for receiving campaign contributions from Bain employees. I'm sure that would work out well for him.
By the way, SF. Can you tell me the difference between a fixed income fund and a venture capital fund?
LMAO... so the three Bain guys gave a total of $5200? Wow...
Tell us... how much did the Wall St boys give to Obama?

ROFLMAO...
LOL
You do realize Soros is a "financial titan" investor, don't you?
Perhaps you can educate me on how the interests of Soros and Bain would be any different?
Nonsense, it refers to a position taken politically as well. You are just basking in nonsense.
I'm well aware of who Soros is, his ideals, philanthropy, and how those ideals are at complete odds with everything Bain Capital does and represents. Obviously you're not capable of recognizing these differences.
Cory Booker may want to hire a food taster. The Newark Mayor, a Democrat, dared to disagree on Sunday with the Obama campaign's attacks on Bain Capital and the private-equity business, and the liberal orthodoxy machine has been busy delivering retribution.
Mr. Booker uttered his apostasy on NBC's "Meet the Press," calling out both Presidential campaigns for what he called a "nauseating" focus on side issues. He deplored attacks on President Obama for his long-ago association with the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, but he added that "I have to just say, from a very personal level, I'm not about to sit here and indict private equity. . . . Especially that I know I live in a state where pension funds, unions and other people are investing in companies like Bain Capital. If you look at the totality of Bain Capital's record, they've done a lot to support businesses, to grow businesses."

I really like this guy. He's a liberal, but he also has common sense and is an all-around badass. I also perceive that he has aspirations well beyond serving as Mayor of Newark...
did you happen to catch his interview on the rachel maddow show on msnbc? he is quite angry about the gop taking his comments out of context and if the gop is standing with him, then where is the gop support for places like the city that he is mayor of and other cities that need help
oops
Having checked with the OED, the only source that matters, I respectfully relent. You are correct sir. I hereby crawfish on my prior position with respect to your usage of the term crawfish.
ROFLMAO....
Most excellent, sir.
And apparently you're not capable, either....
Oh, isn't that nice
Everyone note, a liberal admitting they were wrong!

Yeah, we should call a holiday it happens so rarely.![]()
Actually, you are the one that is not familiar with the differences. A VC firm is far different than the speculative trading Soros did to create his wealth. Soros crushed the Bank of England by shorting the ever living crap out of the pound. Forcing a devaluation of their currency. When a country devalues, it is the poor and middle classes that suffer the most. His short position hammered the poor and middle classes of England.
A Venture Capital firm looks at two types of firms:
1) an existing firm with a good product/service but bad business model that they think they can turn around and return to profitability.
2) A start up that needs capital backers to expand and grow.
Not every investment is going to work. But a good VC firm will have far more winners than losers. Bain is one of the good firms. Yes, they make money. They also help create jobs. Those Steel workers from KC had jobs 8 years longer than they otherwise would have. A point Obama is not going to mention. Staples, Sports Authority, Warner Music etc... all companies that Bain helped (and profited from).
If you feel the above is incorrect, please elaborate what it is you disagree with.
As far as his philanthropy... yes, Soros has done a lot of good with his money. But that doesn't change how he earned it.
