The Senate just approved a $52 billion bill for #Semiconductor chip manufacturing in the United States—part of its version of the United States Innovation and #CompetitionAct. Is this a step toward the United States taking a “whole-of-government” approach when it comes to competition with China? Or are the stakes even high enough to warrant a fight? I spoke to Robert Atkinson, founder and president of the #InformationTechnology and Innovation Foundation, a tech and economic think tank. He details the nature of the U.S.-China economic relationship and what’s at stake when China wins and America loses.
