Trying, or needing to prove God exists, is a direct contradiction to faith. Just the same with those that try to decipher when the world might end. Those people are equal to are we there yet, kids, on a road trip.

A long time ago I worked nights with a man studying to be a priest, he knew I believe nothing but still enjoyed this brief moment of consciousness. On occasion I would challenge him and once I mentioned some of the writing linked below as well as the Holocaust etc. One night his face went blank, I wasn't sure but I guess it was an epiphany he wasn't sure of. I never mentioned anything again after that night.

He probably realized everything he believed was a lie ... and went out that night and killed himself.
