Actually I think it is just another exclusive type of status pump up your ego type of club for those who need the ego boost of the exclusivity factor offered by the masons.

It’s a good club for male companionship. My grandfather joined after ww2 and gained life long friends. When my grandmother died they paid for her entire funeral and burial.
