GRAPEVINE (AP) — Federal agents descended on the North Texas headquarters of television evangelist Benny Hinn and took boxes out of the offices. :hand:

The search began about 9 a.m. Wednesday at Hinn’s headquarters in the Dallas-Fort Worth suburb of Grapevine, near Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. According to Hinn’s website, he was in Paris.

Lisa Slimak, spokeswoman for the U.S. attorney’s office in Dallas, said she was unable to confirm or deny the existence of an investigation. A message sent to Bennie Hinn Ministries went unanswered.

Hinn was one of six television evangelists investigated by the Senate Finance Committee in 2007. Three years later, the six were cleared of any wrongdoing.

God luvs you....but send your money to my address. What's new about the hypocrisy of fake TV Evangelists? There's nothing new under the sun. That's why its the duty of all Christians to study, ".....be diligent to present yourself approved of God, a worker who needs not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and idle babblings for they will increase to more ungodliness." -- 2 Tim 2:14-18

Christians are warned against those who preach and teach things not found in the word of God, "If anyone speaks let him speak as the oracles (laws, words) of God. If anyone ministers let him do it with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion for ever and ever....ahem." -- 1 Peter 4:11

In order to be prepared against Con Artists and the false teachings they provide every Christian is admonished to UNDERSTAND THE WILL OF GOD. -- Eph. 5:17

The ministry that you describe fits exactly the warning found in scripture, "For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, ALWAYS LEARNING BUT NEVER ABLE TO COME TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH." -- 2 Tim. 3:6-7

There are a great many simple, gullible, trusting people out there that tune their ears only toward the things they want to hear that benefits them (they assume).....such as a promise by a TV preacher telling them if they sow a seed of dollars it will come back to them 10 fold...etc., just send your money to the address provided, "...for the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears they will heap up to themselves teachers; and they will turn ears away from the truth, and be turned aside by fables." -- 2 Tim. 4:3-4

Christians are promised nothing extra in this life...the same rain falls on everyone, The reward for a Christian comes after the race (of life) is run...until such time we all share this reality called LIFE. If you are expecting God to make a favor for you...you have not studied and rightly divided the word of truth.

For the LUV of money is the root of all kinds of evil. -- 1 Tim. 6:10

Many falsely quote this scripture. Its not Money that is evil, money is nothing but a tool, it can do both good and evil...its the love of money and its power that produces...NOT ALL EVIL but all kinds of evil.

As the scriptures detail, "....some by longing for it....have wondered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many grieves."

Even the example given by the Christ concerning the RICH MAN...details the fact that the rich are hesitant to give any of their wealth that has been accumulated by the grace that God allows...in order to help others in their time of need. Money can be a tool for good works or it can be a stumbling block to the greedy and the weak.

Note Jesus did not require the rich man to GIVE ALL THAT HE POSSESSED...but to simply GIVE in order to do what is righteous in the sight of God....to share in God's grace the blessings of this life.

"If" he were not progressive.....would he not be teaching from a conservative orthodox platform instead of promoting a new point of view not found in scripture? Jesus Christ was the quint essential conservative, born of a woman, born under the law (of Moses...the old testament), while obeying the literal letter of the old law from birth to death, the only human to have walked this earth sinless.

A perfect example of how voluntarily stupid Christians are...

This Christian minister should be shot on sight...

Calling any preacher a huckster is like calling a fish wet.

What? You mean Hinn, Jim Baker, Peter Popoff, Robert Tilton, Jimmy Swaggart...etc., were not really teaching the word of God.....No, tell me it ain't so.......

Anyone that actually reads, studies and comprehends the actual text of the Holy Bible....does not tell us that, "God loves you, but send your money to my address...."

A Question of Miracles
In April 2001, HBO aired a documentary entitled A Question of Miracles that focused on Hinn and a well-documented fellow Word-of-Faith German minister based in Africa, Reinhard Bonnke.[21] Both Hinn and Bonnke offered full access to their events to the documentary crew, and the documentary team followed seven cases of "miracle healings" from Hinn's crusade over the next year. The film's director, Antony Thomas, told CNN's Kyra Phillips that they did not find any cases where people were actually healed by Hinn.[22] Thomas said in a New York Times interview that "If I had seen miracles [from Hinn's ministry], I would have been happy to trumpet it... but in retrospect, I think they do more damage to Christianity than the most committed atheist."[23]
