A coalition of 13 conservative groups -- including the Family Research Council and Concerned Women for America -- took out full-page ads in some editions of USA Today earlier this month urging the Justice Department and FBI to investigate whether some of the pay-per-view movies widely available in hotels violate federal and state obscenity laws.

"These are places that you take your family -- these are respectable institutions," said Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council. "Anything that brings porn into the mainstream is a concern. It just desensitizes people."

Typical righteous indignation from the religious lot...

We have a good technique for dealing with them in the UK Rob, just ignore them...

However I don't think Klaatu will be that bothered about porn in hotel rooms though....??

My home line is down, and looking slightly permanently so. I am in the middle of a huge dispute with my telecomms company and as I am moving home in a few months probably won't get home access back until then.

I can post at work, though only limited posts...

You're coming the England! Are you staying in London or travelling about.

Do you like clubbing? I can point you in the direction of the best clubs around.....

Did you ever try masturbating to a bible? I haven't, but I'm not into S & M (well, unless you count light spankings), but I bet if you are into S & M, there is no better porn than the bible, let's be honest.

Ohh-K. On that stink bomb, I'm going to get some work done while others have strokes. See ya later! lol

I said that. I said that I don't think the government should be in the business of choosing which religions are good enough to bless with tax exempt status and that all religions should pay tax... Otherwise the government is selecting the "blessed" religions and giving them stronger status over those that are not government sanctioned...

I agree Damo, if the churches run a charity organization then that can be tax exempt, but not the church and property. Except for any property used exclusivly for the charitable org.

That's a good idea. But then you'd have ministers hiding money in their "charities". But I like the basis of that.

Definitely. And if they accept government funds they would be subject to government control... The Charity would, not the church...

I think Tax Exempting Churches is government support of the religion and it should not be done unless all beliefs, even that of CONS (Church of the New Song, created by CONS in prison so they could demand steak and lobster at every meal), is given equal status. Otherwise they are selecting specific religions to support, that is unconstitutional.

They aren't fascists, they are theocrats... :) Hey, if they're allowing "Islamo-fascist" as not-nonsensical then they have to permit "Christo-fascist" as well.

I am thinking of charging Tiana a royalty each time she uses it though. ;)

I thnk you can still get ordained in a trashy church for $100 or so over the internet. You have to hold services once a week I think.
