After years of denials, the CIA has formally acknowledged the existence of two classified documents governing aggressive interrogation and detention policies for terrorism suspects, according to the American Civil Liberties Union.

But CIA lawyers say the documents -- memos from President Bush and the Justice Department -- are still so sensitive that no portion can be released to the public.

Yeah, because doing so would end the careers, and possibly the freedom, of several high ranking Bushites and bureaucrats.

well, gonzalez, gwb's personal attorney at the time wrote some very damning opinions on this torture subject and he got promoted to AG by Bush....

i personally believe after the senate hearings with gonzalez ....the orders came from the TOP on this and these papers could confirm it...these soldiers committing what was known to us of the past as torture, was not some group of rogue soldiers on their own...they were following orders imo.
