Fuckin' eh, seriously?

Seriously. The news has been running clips of the whole thing, including the meetings with Kim Jong Il, all evening. Probably all day as it happened earlier.
They're on a plane heading for LA.

Palin should have gone over and got them under the guise of borrowing a cup of Kemshi from her neighbors.

I wonder what would have happened if we sent George Bush or Dick Cheney to negotiate?

LOL! Kim probably would at this very moment be testing his longrange missiles in our direction ... OK, not so LOL :(

They don't negotiate with evil doers. That's the republican mantra.

I don't think there was any negotiation, I think the deal was struck before a foot was set into a plane.

I was amazed at how annoyed he looked the entire time. I searched for a time he acted like he was actually pleased to be there, not even one time did I even see a smile.

Had Bush and Cheney been president these two girls would be doing 5 years hard labor in a North Korean prison.

President Clinton did not do the negotating, he was just the deal. They wanted to have a photo op with Clinton in exchange for the two Americans. Good deal if you ask me!

I belive he wanted to make sure the American people do not belive he wanted to go, telegraphing that he was only there to save the two girls. Not that he was happy to meet Kim Il Jong.

If that was the only deal then yeah, it was a good trade. I really don't care if he can create a false sense of honor out of it.

He is pissed at Hillary for making him go. Had she not screwed up, he could still be sitting on the couch dreaming of Monica.

Or perhaps they would have told Gore to keep his reporters out of North Korea.

Yes. And it's nice to have a former President who still holds International Stature, isn't it?

I read that some rich hollywood type had paid for the trip to get the gals.

I guess Clinton will be starring in a made for TV movie soon?
