Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Warrick Dunn's life laid bare in book

TAMPA — Warrick Dunn finally came face-to-face with his demons last October, at Angola State Prison, a short 56-mile drive from his hometown of Baton Rouge. La. The journey for Dunn had taken a lifetime.

Seated just a few feet away, with his hands shackled to his waist, was Kevan Brumfield, the man who had confessed to killing Dunn's mother, Baton Rouge police corporal Betty Smothers, on Jan. 7, 1993, during an ambush at a local bank.

I read the article. It should be on lifetime TV network.

Huh?

He doesn't know sh*t about sports yet somehow feels the need to post on many of the sports threads.

A guy who mom's was killed while being a security guard who then as the oldest sibiling escentially raised his brothers and sisters by himself while going through college. Made it to the NFL. Has been a great ambassador to the game donating lots of money to needy families who went through situations like his. As you said RS he's a great man.

But hey what do we know? It's just a bunch of Entertainment Tonight junk.

She was a cop.

The article is a bit sappy, maybe that is what he is responding too.

In all, 10 gunshots were fired into the police cruiser, four hitting Piggly Wiggly night manager Kimen Lee, who survived the attack, and five striking Smothers. But those bullets also ripped holes through the lives of Dunn, a high school senior at the time, and his five brothers and sisters.

For years, Dunn was haunted by one question that would not be answered: Why?

yeah just a bit sappy.

Seahawks floundered about even worse than the Eagles and lost. The way Philly played, any other team probably could have beaten them yesterday, but they were playing here in Seattle...

Okay. Don't see how that is relevant to topic, but the Bucs got away with one yesterday too. They probably deserved to lose, but we'll take it.
