Diarrhea Mouth started the eulogy train for Lewis:

“Today, America mourns the loss of one of the greatest heroes of American history: Congressman John Lewis, the Conscience of the Congress.

“John Lewis was a titan of the civil rights movement whose goodness, faith and bravery transformed our nation – from the determination with which he met discrimination at lunch counters and on Freedom Rides, to the courage he showed as a young man facing down violence and death on Edmund Pettus Bridge, to the moral leadership he brought to the Congress for more than 30 years.

“In the halls of the Capitol, he was fearless in his pursuit of a more perfect union, whether through his Voter Empowerment Act to defend the ballot, his leadership on the Equality Act to end discrimination against LGBTQ Americans or his work as a Senior Member of the Ways and Means Committee to ensure that we invest in what we value as a nation.

“Every day of John Lewis’s life was dedicated to bringing freedom and justice to all. As he declared 57 years ago during the March on Washington, standing in the shadow of the Lincoln Memorial: ‘Our minds, souls, and hearts cannot rest until freedom and justice exist for all the people.’ How fitting it is that even in the last weeks of his battle with cancer, John summoned the strength to visit the peaceful protests where the newest generation of Americans had poured into the streets to take up the unfinished work of racial justice. His visit with Mayor Bowser, the Mayor of Washington, painted an iconic picture of justice.

“In the Congress, John Lewis was revered and beloved on both sides of the aisle and both sides of the Capitol. All of us were humbled to call Congressman Lewis a colleague, and are heartbroken by his passing. May his memory be an inspiration that moves us all to, in the face of injustice, make ‘good trouble, necessary trouble.’

“God truly blessed America with the life and leadership of John Lewis. May it be a comfort to his son John-Miles, his entire family, Michael Collins and his entire staff that so many mourn their loss and are praying for them at this sad time.”

It was John Lewis who said ONE HUNDRED MILLION slaves thrown overboard changed the migratory pattern of sharks. To fully understand the depth of Lewis’ stupidity do the math on the number of sailing ships required to transport 1,000,000,000 human beings. If each ship carried 200 slaves (the accepted number of slaves on a sailing ship) you would need 5 MILLION ships if each ship only made one trip.

Of course, sailing ships in the slave trade made numerous round trips; nevertheless, the number of ships needed to throw one hundred million slaves overboard is galactic, not to mention the number of seamen needed to crew those ships. Put it in perspective by comparing the capacity of steamships to the capacity of sailing ships. You would need tens of thousands WWII troop transports to throw 1,000,000,000 people overboard.

Bottom line: Everything John Lewis ever said and did is rooted in black racism, but you better not say it if you are white. Lewis is hailed as a Civil Rights icon who loved the white folks.

I have to admit that I bounced back and forth between which one was the dumbest —— John Lewis or Elijah Cummings. See this thread for the other dumbbell:

Cummings has long-been the dumbest man in the House. He does not have to open his mouth. One has only to look at his face to see the stupidity dripping out of every pore.

One has to give Flanders credit, he doesn't hide his ignorance or racist attitudes, he is a biased and bigoted, hate filled ignoramus but he acknowledges that fact. Good for him, most hide behind rationalizations, he displays himself. Hate is powerful for it is easier than goodness or genuine thoughtfulness. It is simple too for you know who you are and there is no need for thought or education.

"Only in America can you find so many angry people claiming to love their country, while hating almost anyone in it." Don King

Flanders' racism is described in article below, it is a kind of grievance that fails to see clearly the whys.

What did the dumbbell ever do for every American? or for white Americans if you get right down to truth of the matter?

Attending a dumbbell’s funeral certainly qualifies as "non-essential" to everybody except a black swamp creature:

Under current District of Columbia rules, all of those individuals would normally be required to self-quarantine for two weeks upon returning to D.C. City Mayor Muriel Bowser's recent quarantine order dictates that any individual traveling to a "high-risk area" for "non-essential" reasons must self-quarantine for 14 days upon entering the District.

Note that the parasite mayor did not sign a piece of legislation, she simply ordered a quarantine.
