"whore-monger"
"One who accumulates many whores, keeping them ever by their side for assurance. Also, occasionally, for casual sex. They will often-times be macho males who wear dark sunglasses although occasionally nerdy whore-mongers of easy geeks arise. In many cases, the band of sluts will be several years younger than the whoremonger himself, in all likelihood because they put out faster and enjoy the importance of getting attention from the dangerous "olda boys".

Seeing that this dates back to the time of J. Edgar Hoover, I would say that this is very questionable.

Later in life and after his death, Hoover became a controversial figure as evidence of his secretive abuses of power began to surface. He was found to have exceeded the jurisdiction of the FBI,[2] and to have used the FBI to harass political dissenters and activists, to amass secret files on political leaders,[3] and to collect evidence using illegal methods.[4] Hoover consequently amassed a great deal of power and was in a position to intimidate and threaten others, including sitting presidents of the United States.[5]

A question that you would have to ask Germans.

TOP brought up an interesting Discussion Point.
What does the 'Statue' represent?
Was the Person perfect, or did he (she) represent something to commemorate or admire?
Should MLK Statues be torn down because he had a few (45) extra-marital affairs, completely inconsistent with Christian teachings (and he being a Christian Minister), or should he be remembered for his fight and stand on Black Equality.
TOP's implication extends to Washington and Jefferson, being Slave-holders, but at the same time being Founding Fathers of a Country that has at it's roots 'All Men are Created Equal'.

In my opinion, Government has no business judging a Politician's personal sex life.

The more important question is: 'Should a Statue of Jefferson be removed because Jefferson was fucking his Slave Girl, Sally, his dead wife's half sister?'
If you believe any indiscretions, any imperfections, any deviation from the Politically Correct, be reason to 'remove Statues' of Important People, than you would have to agree that Statues of MLK must be removed.

Hedonism is a virtue to the left.

"Although Epicureanism is a form of hedonism insofar as it declares pleasure to be its sole intrinsic goal, the concept that the absence of pain and fear constitutes the greatest pleasure, and its advocacy of a simple life, make it very different from "hedonism" as colloquially understood."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epicureanism

"Epicurus was an atomic materialist, following in the steps of Democritus. His materialism led him to a general attack on superstition and divine intervention. Following the Cyrenaic philosopher Aristippus, Epicurus believed that the greatest good was to seek modest, sustainable pleasure in the form of a state of ataraxia (tranquility and freedom from fear) and aponia (the absence of bodily pain) through knowledge of the workings of the world and limiting desires. The combination of these two states constitutes happiness in its highest form."

Like all good American men do or desire to do. People like Steven VanMicropenis is probably still a virgin; the only ass he gets is when his finger punches through the TP and the last vagina he saw was his mother's.

Obviously it's wrong to break a vow or an oath. It wasn't that long ago that it was a commendable trait among "white men" to bang a lot of women. Trump still brags about it although I doubt a truckload of Viagra and a crane could do him any good these days. Maybe that's why Steven likes him so much.

So statues have no role of honor?

It's a statue; a representation of a historical event or person. Views of the Civil War change over time....even granting "the victors write the history books". The views in the late 19th century were different from the 20th century and 21st century views even more different.

IMO, it's wrong to destroy or erase history, but it's important to point out the lessons of history, to build upon it. That's not what is happening with the removal of statues movement. It's all destruction and erasure.

If you really believe every Washington monument is completely meaningless and that you are seeking to destroy them all for parking lots and condos, that's your choice to make but I disagree.

You are free to turn all of these statues into gravel and door knobs, but I think they represent a tangible reminder of history, something our kids and young people like yourself should be learning from, not destroying:

MLK reminds me a bit of legendary blues musician, B.B. King. B.B. fathered 15 different children with 15 different mothers, and there's speculation that he fathered 3 more children. B.B.'s BB's sure worked the trick! A sure shot every time.

"What standard". I agree. If we agree that MLK Statue should remain with his 45 extra-marital affairs and being a Minister of the Christian Faith, we could probably agree that Washington and Jefferson and the Founding Fathers should remain and be off-limits to any thought of removing them.
As for 'confederate monuments', that would probably be dependent on the circumstance. Civil War Battlefields with Statues or Monuments to both sides may help in telling the Stories.

Well, here in New Orleans, there was a Statue of Robert E. Lee, but it was removed. Lee didn't have any connection to the City. Wasn't a 'Favorite Son', didn't defend the City, there wasn't any historical association between Lee and New Orleans.
(The reason for the removal was 'economic' more than 'political', New Orleans depends on Tourism and Conventions)

"The Robert E. Lee Monument formerly in New Orleans, Louisiana, is a historic statue dedicated to Confederate General Robert E. Lee by noted American sculptor Alexander Doyle. It was removed (intact) by official order and moved to an unknown location on May 19, 2017. Any future display is uncertain.[2] The monument was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.[1][3] It was included by New Orleans magazine in June 2011 as one of the city's "11 important statues".[4]"

It was an economic decision made by Mayor Mitch Landrieu.

"Read: New Orleans Mayor on Removing Confederate Monuments"
https://time.com/4790674/mitch-landrieu-new-orleans-confederate-monuments-speech/

"On May 19, the city of New Orleans removed a statue of Robert E. Lee from atop an 80-foot pedestal, where it had stood for 133 years. The Confederate Army commander’s likeness was the last of four monuments memorializing the insurrection to be withdrawn in a 26-day span, an action that has led to protest both in the city and elsewhere. The same day, Mayor Mitch Landrieu, who started the movement to take down the monuments in 2015, gave a speech explaining the reasoning behind their removal. His full prepared remarks are below."
