You have to wonder, why the Bush administration would put someone up for the nomination when he's quoted as being staunchly opposed to its existence.

Bolton isn't opposed to the UN, he is opposed to it being useless and counterproductive. He is doing a great job there in representing the American interest. Finally someone who will stand up for the US at the UN.

Okay, now that most have answered if he should be confirmed, how about answering whether you think he will be confirmed.

good question.... I am not sure it is close enough to the midterm elections for republicans to be abandoning Bush's sinking ship just yet..... if they think it is, however, they might very well want to have a vote against him on their voting records.

What should happen and what will happen in the senate are pretty much diametrically opposed these days. I'm going with a "yes, that scumbag will get nominated"

Bolton has gotten Security Council resolutions against Iran and North Korea in the last couple of months. Now they were a bit weak, but at least he got them thru. That is a major coup.

Oh, a trip down memory lane.

A classic example of liberals reaping what they sow. The Bolton drama was the weekly "crisis of the week" generated by the obstructionist Democrats. The same crowd who now preach compromise. lol.

When Democrats obstructed Bush, it was good.

When Republicans obstruct Obama, it's "terrorism".
