More like a nation populated mostly by people who consider themselves Christian.

The US is a secular Republic that has a largely Christian population. Definitely not officially Christian... Thank the little gods.

Sarin is bad stuff, but so is chlorine, but we all use it. But a tanker full of Chlorine gas can be a WMD.

water can be a WMD ? If one blows up a dam or generates a Tsanmi with an underwater blast ?

To be a WMD it must be either an NBC weapon or high explosive. Water wouldn't be because it is a secondary effect of an explosive.
Secondary and Tertiary effects of these weapons are not considered WMD themselves.

So a weapon that destroys all plant and animal life (except human) would not be a WMD , even though the people die of starvation as a result ?
