The Secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) says Ali Larijani, the late secretary of the top security body, who was martyred in the US-Israeli bombing, was a source of inspiration for the people and a guide and mentor.
In a message on Wednesday, marking the 40th day since the assassination of Larijani, the SNSC Secretariat called him a practical manifestation of the one who sincerely believed in Velayat‑e Faqih (Guardianship of the Islamic Jurist), and followed the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
Remembering Martyr Larijani as "the brave and far-sighted" SNSC secretary, the statement noted that the late security chief devoted his fruitful life entirely to serving Iran, the proud nation, and the Islamic Revolution, leaving behind a lasting legacy of revolutionary, wise, and noble actions that will be remembered for years to come.
Larijani was always ready and willing to shoulder serious responsibilities and difficult tasks for the sake of his country and thus was considered a torch-bearer in the realm of political decision-making.
His words were penetrating and groundbreaking, separating truth from falsehood and the good from evil, and his actions helped the nation navigate dangerous moments, the message stated.
On March 17, Larijani, along with his son Morteza, deputy for security affairs at the SNSC’s secretariat, Alireza Bayat and several members of their security team, was assassinated in Tehran in a US-Israeli airstrike as part of the war of aggression against the country.
