Democrats Falsely Claim Jesus was a Socialist

I’d love to hear what Jesus would say to the question of socialism lol.

No doubt His response would be cryptic and confound the listener. My guess is he would say something like ‘beware of making your ideology a false god’ and go on to quote something out of the OT.

More like "If you don't work, you don't eat" would be enough evidence of how he would feel about giving stuff away for free simply because one exists on the planet. ;)

Isn't it interesting that Trump did not want to restrict immigration from "*some* Muslim countries".... even though 9/11 terrorists came from them, because of business interests there?

Trump has NO business interests in Saudi Arabia... nor Pakistan, Yemen, Kuwait or Egypt.

There are many very conservative things in the bible. For example: If you won't work you don't eat... (2 Thess. 3:10). Or 1 Timothy chapter 5 where it is very clear it is your responsibility to care for your own. Shoot, widows are not "put on the list" for aid if they have grandchildren that should care for them.

Matthew 25:35 - 36 - 'For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

Those wanting to claim Jesus was a socialist ignore the most important word in those two verses. It's used 6 times. "YOU".

:hand:

Few realize what the Biblical definition of a widow is. It is a woman age 62 or older who has NO husband (either never married, husband died, divorced), NO children (therefore no grandchildren), NO siblings, NO living parent. THESE are the single women who are to be taken care of by the Church. This is the position that I'm in. But, I'll keep working part time with a work-from-home job and make/sell homemade soaps to add to my Social Security for as long as I'm able.

I've seen some women in churches try to take advantage of this. Sure their husband died. But, they were left a lot of money or pension to live comfortably on, a house, grown kids and grand kids to do their lawn work and repairs, etc. Yet, they'll run to their church to try and get them to pay a light bill or pay for a new roof on their house. Most pastors are wise though and call up their children to go help their mother.

Ruth was not 62 years old.

We were supporting the Saudis since well before Trump came along.

I think we should pressure them to get out of Yemen. But one brush fire at a time.

We have NEVER supported the Saudis.. What the hell are you talking about?

You want Iran and Yemen to shut down the Bab al Mandab. The ppb will go to $200.

Hard to say what Jesus would say, exactly lol.

I do know that the key to Jesus’ moral teachings is that it’s ‘personal’. He had little or nothing to say about governance. Jesus would want to know what the general ‘you’ were doing for the poor and etc.

Pretty simple concept, actually.

more likely it was because SA has cooperated with the US to control terrorists since 2001.......

Did Ruth try to take advantage of anyone?

I've personally seen examples of the widow women Stretch mentioned. Can't afford to pay someone to cut their grass, do repairs at their house, etc. yet have plenty of money to buy a new car, go on lots of trips, or wear the finest clothes. In fact, it's not just widows that do that. Plenty of requests from people to pay power bills, do repairs on houses, and the like because they claim they can't afford it yet can afford lots of other necessities like new flat screen TVs, video gaming system, and the latest/greatest iPhone. In those cases, the problem isn't lack of money but lack of the ability to manage it.

Matthew 25:35 - 36 (with emphasis provided) - 'For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

It is a pretty simple concept that Jesus felt that it was individuals helping those they saw in need not the government dictating it based on political gain.

I would settle for them not exporting terrorism around the world.......if we could end that $200 oil would be worth it......

LOLOL.. The Saudis are doing their best to maintain reasonable prices and supply.. Now Kuwait's tankers are at risk from al Houthis/Iranian actions in the Gulf and Red Sea. They too make suspend shipments.

Information is more valuable than gossip.

I love how leftists who claim to be Athiests think they know what Jesus was or wasn’t.

A literal interpretation of his words is that you should help your fellow man.

Most would agree with that tenet. The question isn’t whether people need help or should be helped. The question is what is the most efficient way to do that without infringing on the rights of others.

I love how atheists that claim Jesus never existed try to use His teachings to claim it meant he supported socialism.
