Obviously it is apples to apples. Many millions of Americans want a wall to keep out millions of illegal immigrants from Mexico. Walls help keep unwanted people out. They don't have a 100% success rate and nobody ever said they did. In Kathy Griffin's case, her neighbor can still climb over the wall if he wants, or throw things over, but having a wall cuts down the likelihood of trouble from him, so she has it built. The Left don't want Trump’s wall because they want the illegal immigrants to continue coming, along with all the crime that comes with it, in exchange for their votes. That is why they began attacking the whole principle of walls, using slogans about 'building bridges, not walls' and so on. Afterwards they contradict themselves by building their own walls whenever needed! They are hypocrites and this is just another example. So you bet it's apples for apples. The Left want to have their apple and eat it too.

You are confusing the wall itself with the principle of a wall. Most walls are built for security reasons. A minority may be built for decoration or convention. In Kathy Griffin’s case the wall is obviously for security reasons, as is Trump’s wall. The wild eyed Left want more votes, so they are doing everything they can to let illegal immigrants in, since they and their many children will vote for Democrats for generations to come. Trump will stop many illegals by building a wall. The Left are against that obviously. So they campaign against the whole principle of walls, saying that you should build bridges, not walls. They promote this idea just as they promote the idea that jet airliners are creating too much carbon and destroying the planet. Then they show their hypocrisy by building their own walls for security and flying around in jets everywhere. There are plenty of parallels and those that don’t see them are not exactly the sharpest knives in the drawer.
