Looks like they just passed a ballot initiative that will impose a "one time" 5% tax on the net worth of those with a billion dollars.
I can see how rubes would fall for this bait and switch. It is the same thing that they did when they passed the 16th Amendment. It is the same thing they did when they passed the Alternative Minimum Tax. In the beginning they were only supposed to hit the richest of them all because fuck them right? But, in the end, it hit everyone.
Let's now even consider the additional flight of capital it will cause.
Plus, I don't even think this is constitutional. But, like Reagan always said, if it moves leftists want to tax it
