The ultimate fall from grace, a Federal grand jury is about to indict John Edwards, The ENQUIRER has learned exclusively.
In another shocker, close sources say Edwards' estranged wife Elizabeth could help send the former presidential candidate to jail! Edwards, the disgraced two-time Presidential loser, is being investigated by the feds, including the FBI and IRS, for possible campaign violations related to paying his mistress Rielle Hunter. The grand jury has been meeting since April 2009, and insiders say an indictment is imminent. "John is terrified that he's going to be indicted," a friend told The ENQUIRER. "While he believes he's done nothing illegal in trying to hide his extramarital affair with Rielle and their daughter, he thinks the Feds are going to make an example of him." http://www.nationalenquirer.com/gran...elebrity/68250 ![]() It must be true if the Enquirer is reporting it. |

I don't know about 'must be' with the NE, but they were the 'magazine' that broke the story originally, many included myself, discounted it on that basis alone. Lesson learned: even a questionable source may be right once in a blue moon.

I'm gonna wait to hear it from another source before I believe it. Granted, Liz has motive to go after him, but as that motive is sexual infidelity, and this is the NE, that makes it suspect in my opinion...

"Faced with the biggest crisis of his political life, President Bush has hit the bottle again, The National Enquirer can reveal. Bush, who said he quit drinking the morning after his 40th birthday, has started boozing amid the Katrina catastrophe. Family sources have told how the 59-year-old president was caught by First Lady Laura downing a shot of booze at their family ranch in Crawford, Texas, when he learned of the hurricane disaster. His worried wife yelled at him: "Stop, George." Following the shocking incident, disclosed here for the first time, Laura privately warned her husband against "falling off the wagon" and vowed to travel with him more often so that she can keep an eye on Dubya, the sources add. "When the levees broke in New Orleans, it apparently made him reach for a shot," said one insider. "He poured himself a Texas-sized shot of straight whiskey and tossed it back. The First Lady was shocked and shouted: "Stop George!" "Laura gave him an ultimatum before, 'It's Jim Beam or me.' She doesn't want to replay that nightmare — especially now when it's such tough going for her husband." Bush is under the worst pressure of his two terms in office and his popularity is near an all-time low. The handling of the Katrina crisis and troop losses in Iraq have fueled public discontent and pushed Bush back to drink. A Washington source said: "The sad fact is that he has been sneaking drinks for weeks now. Laura may have only just caught him — but the word is his drinking has been going on for a while in the capital. He's been in a pressure cooker for months." (Article continues) http://www.nationalenquirer.com/celebrity/63426 "In a world exclusive The NATIONAL ENQUIRER names GOP VP Candidate Sarah Palin's secret lover! No less than three members of the man’s family including one by sworn affidavit have claimed that Sarah Palin engaged in an extramarital affair with hus*band Todd’s former business partner, Brad Hanson. These sources have named Hanson as Palin’s secret love, and say their affair nearly wrecked both their marriages Hanson owned a snowmobile dealership with Palin’s husband Todd, who immediately dissolved the partnership after he heard stories about the affair, which occurred around 1996, according to the sources. At the time, Palin was mayor of Wasilla. Palin has vehemently de*nied cheating on her hus*band, and Hanson insisted to The NATIONAL ENQUIRER that he was never romantically in*volved with the 44-year-old Republican vice presiden*tial candidate. However, Hanson family insider, Jim Burdett, has gone on the record and passed a rigorous polygraph test, revealing de*tails of the affair to The NATIONAL ENQUIRER in a world exclusive interview." http://www.nationalenquirer.com/celebrity/65481
