Perhaps, but, consider that student loans have an extremely low interest rate, often below 2%. I have an ungodly 6% rate, due to a consolidation I did on mine. That clears you up to make credit card payments. Even at around $4000, your minimum payment is typically around $75, giving you time to save-up a budget enabling you to get ahead on the payments.

2% is really, really low for a student loan. When did you go to school?

I had to do this a couple of kids ago, lowest rate I found was 5.6% but that was subsidized so we didn't get that one, that was back in 2013. It's not just the rate either, the tuition itself is sky high compared to what it used to be unless you're going to community college.

Oh, yeah, the tuition is massive. My private college is among the cheapest in WA, and I knocked-out my BA in just three years. Obviously, it's the high principal that is hurting most people, rather than a variation between 2-6% interest. I got screwed, because my initial enlistment incentive into the Guard back in 2004 included up to $20,000 in the Student Loan Repayment Program. I assumed this benefit would be accessible after I graduated and was no longer a student. Instead, I should have activated SLRP after one satisfactory semester. The benefit timed-out on me, and I got nothing.

What I said is exactly how it works. Maybe you're one of those left wing morons that still thinks overall popular votes elects a President.

That is just plain wrong that this happened. Crap like that needs to be corrected. An education benefit for a veteran should be available until the day they die.

Trump will be fun to watch, all the Americans who voted for him may find the republican policy changes not to their liking. But when work is disappearing for a variety of reasons people look to a savior, Trump is that now.

THAT is what he starts with? What a dark, dismal view of America - and what a heap of generalizations in terms of how he's going to "fix things." And I don't care if people think it's a warm & fuzzy snowflake thing: after one of the most bruising, divisive elections in history, you HAVE to at least make a token effort at healing & unifying.

I don't think I have ever felt so pessimistic in my life, about anything. And I'm a Buffalo Bills fan who thinks they're going to the Superbowl every September.
Poor, poor democrat in mourning. Did you wear black yesterday? Or have you been wearing black every day since Nov 7?
