A man is facing serious charges after police say he attacked a co-worker with a wrench.

Daryl Smith, 66, is charged with attempted second degree murder.

Investigators say Smith got into a fight with a co-worker earlier this month.

He said Smith waited for him to get to work and blocked in his truck to start a confrontation.

He said Smith put on gloves, grabbed a wrench and then hit him with a wrench more than 20 times in the head and shoulders.

The victim told police he has had migraines, blackouts and has been vomiting since the attack.

The police affidavit does not specify where the two men are employed.
