Default Craigslist parking lot sales are not always a bad idea

Despite the few and I mean very few bad incidents, overall most people do not have back experience with this. I have an acquaintance who buys and sells used cars through Craigslist and meets most of his buyers and sellers in parking lots.

I would also think this would generally be safer than a street as parking lots are generally more crowded.

There are also stories about people being robbed in their home after allowing a stranger from Craigslist to come in to see the items for sale. That doesn't mean that the other 99% of Craigslist sales are a bad idea.

Care to make your post about auto sales (right after I made this thread) in this thread Legion Troll? Or are you going to continue hiding behind your thread ban and basically spouting off in an echo chamber. I am sure Leo Troll will be along shortly to boost your echo chamber.

The fact remains that many people use Craigslist and never encounter any problems with sales. If someone wants to live in fear of a very small percent, that is fine, but there is no need to fear monger over it. Far more people die from everyday accidents than with Craigslist ads. Use common sense folks. And remember, this could also and likely has, happened with print classified ads. I just don't understand the Trollish fear mongering just because it is the internet.

Cars aren't manufactured to kill when used as designed.

The Grand Wizard of Finance strikes again. I bet you got four times what you paid for it a financial genius like you with an MBA. He was no match for you.

I didn't realize guns were designed to commit crimes.

Okay, but you're 99% of Craigslist sales because nothing happened. I've bought and sold stuff off Craigslist without any problems.

    Where else should people meet?

    - Law Street Media, a company launched in 2013, decided to take a deeper look into Craigslist to see how dangerous it really is. Since the arrest of Philip Markoff, aka the "Craigslist Killer" in 2009, the Craigslist website faced increased scrutiny.

The study by Law Street Media found 58 murderers and 45 murder victims connected to Craigslist postings since 2009. There are 22 murder cases still pending, according to the study. The oldest pending case is from 2012 and eight are from 2014.
Another group doing research on the same topic, Advanced Interactive Media Group LLC, says since 2007, there have been 86 killings in some way linked to Craigslist. Advanced Interactive Media Group has launched an initiative to encourage police stations to host Craigslist and other online transactions. The initiative is called Safe Trade Stations.
Law Street Media says Craigslist did not reply to multiple inquiries from them.

I wonder why a certain poster is too scared to post in this thread?

Probably because he knows I am always right.
