Default Mott - Ohio high school hoops

Do you follow high school hoops at all? Herbstreit just texted Upper Arlington beat Trotwood Madison in the state semis. My folks went to Upper Arlington. Any idea where Trotwood Madison is?

Yea, Trotwood is a Dayton suburb. Upper Arlington beat them 74 to 49 in the State Div 1 Semi-finals

No. If anything Buckeyes are even bigger fanatics for high school football than Texans are.

This is true.. I played for Canton McKinley back in 97 and 98. I don't think there is a bigger rivalry in sports than Massillon vs McKinley.

No, Ohioans follow sheep the way Texans follow HS football.

I would put Princeton vs. Moeller up there as rivals.

there are rivalries all around the country but Canton vs Massillon is the biggest. N.E. Ohio and W. Penn is the birthplace of football and all you texans can go clean the cow shit from your shoes.

"Paul Brown, the father of Ohio football, once led their school to mythical national championships, and whose stadium bears his name. Once a baby boy is born in this town, the hospital staff puts an orange and black "Tiger" football in his crib. Yep, they take their football pretty seriously in Massillon."

The other school can boast that in the 118 years they have been playing football, they have had 102 winning seasons! (#1 in the USA). They have won a total of 792 games, which ranks them second in Ohio history, and seventh all-time nationally. Yep, winning has been quite a habit over the years for Canton McKinley.

The Tigers even have a movie out there called 'Go Tigers' that you can watch on Netflix. It's pretty insane. McKinley just re-hired Thom McDaniels this year. He was my old coach. His son is Josh McDaniels (offensive coordinator for NE Patriots and former head coach of the Denver Broncos), and his other son Ben is an assistant coach at Rutgers. I think they'll be back in the State Finals in the next 5 years.

I know they are far smaller schools but I'd put Wapak vs St. Mary's, Coldwater vs. St. Henry and Arcanum vs. Delphos St. John's up there too.
