Default Phil Bryant is a looney

    http://www.gulflive.com/news/mississ...7734241050.xml

The person running for Lietenant governer in my state is an absolute looney. First, his "cracking down on crime" plan has no real solutions. All he did in the entire thing was propose increased sentences. Not fund police departments, come up with innovative methods to enforce laws, not a dime towards prevention or reform. Has he ever heard the saying "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure"? Apparently note. This is pure vote buying. What a scum bag.

    There's also this little nugget:

"Bryant wants to expand the sex offender registry to include criminals convicted of any crime against children and the elderly"

WTF? What does that have to do with sex? So if a child steals a candy bar from a store owned by an elderly man they're put on the sex offender registry?

He also wants to make the already ridiculous three strikes law two strikes. When the hell is it going to stop? Life sentences for everything?

And he wants to ban rolling paper as "paraphanelia". Dumbass.

His political ads are also a nightmare...

"Jamie Franks is a liberal. Vote for me."

(Hint: Jamie Franks isn't a liberal, but that's such a cussword in Mississippi that if it's even directed at a Democrat the Democrat loses.)

Ahh reaping the harvest of the Republican whirlwind...
Bush doubled the debt from 5 trillion to 10 trillion.
    Proving tax cuts work!

Bush asked for and signed for the TARP money.
The Republican senate leader backed Bush on this.
