As I suspected. Wallmarts party line is that they are closing down to cut cost and to focus on e-commerce. It appears that Amazon is a far greater threat to Wallmarts profits than any Union.

Where I live you have to drive 40 miles to get most things at a place other than Wal-Mart. The choice is usually quite obvious, you usually don't have the luxury of spending more than an hour driving to and from a place just to do a little shopping.

Well...there's this thing called "Amazon Prime". You take this device called a "computer"or "smart phone" and you log onto this thing called "The Internet" and on this internet thingy you can visit virtual stores and actually buy their products which they will actually ship to you. Isn't technology wonderful?

Walmart snobs are the most boorish bunch of people.

Walmart exists so that the poor can have goods that are affordable. It also provides employment for the unskilled. Unionization will make those two realities disappear.

Walmart exists because people are dumb and like to buy literal garbage. Their prices aren't even that cheap. I get better deals on everything except motor oil at other stores. And I don't have to deal with Walmarts famous substandard quality.

Their prices are cheap. They cater to lower incomes. People are poor, but have need of goods, Walmart fills those needs. That you get to choose to shop there or not is beside the point.

Why are you repeating this question?
It is the responsibility of every American citizen to own a modern military rifle.

I do. not by choice ( who would choose to shop there?) - but the groceries are cheaper. All I have is Publix -and the BOGOS are great
    but not the everyday prices.

You are simply saying that to divert attention from the higher labor costs. Unless of course you have evidence to support the above?
    Quote from Cypress:
"Scientists don't use "averages". Maybe armchair supertools on message boards ascribe some meaning to "averages" between two random data points. And maybe clueless amatuers "draw a straight line" through two random end data points to define a "trend". Experts don't.

They use mean annual and five year means in trend analysis. Don't tell me I have to explain the difference to you. "
