CFA treats its employees well. The CEO of that company has always been open about the fact that he runs his privately owned business in a certain way based on his faith. When he was interviewed for an article in a Christian publication, he answered a question about what he believes. He isn't refusing to hire gays or to serve gays. But now people are boycotting his business, not because of his actions, but because of his beliefs? WTF?

And for the other side of the fence, if you didn't support CFA before you read what the CEO said, doing so now simply shows your bigotry. As I said, no one should be persecuted for what they believe. But purposefully choosing a restaurant (and I use that term loosely) based on your own hatred for gays is pitiful.

I have never cared for Chick-Fil-A. But all this hoopla over the answer to a question about his faith is nonsense.
That is about as well thought out and reasoned opinion as I've seen on this subject, WB. Thanks for sharing!!!!!!

I'll go out on a limb here and predict Chick-Fil-A has a record-breaking day in terms of sales today.

    The "boycott" has backfired.

They are now completely irrelevant to me. There are lots of good chicken restaurants and fast food establishments. I do a lot of shipping and I refuse to use Covenant Truck Lines or even allow one on my lot. For several reasons. My business and my policy but I don't put it on the news or in the paper.
    LOL

The queers do give a shit. Prop 8 in California proved that, they targeted any business or individual that donated money and dared disagree with them.

Discrimination in favor of heterosexual couples, the only couples who procreate is not discrimination against homosexuals. Marriage isnt limited to heterosexual couples in order to exclude homosexual couples. It is so limited to include all couples who conceivably could procreate.

Um...what??? What WB said is the complete opposite of what you've been saying (that Chick-fil-A are a bunch of religious zealots who "defile" gays and should be run out of business). Are you off your meds or something?

I don't think the Chick-Fil-A people have come out against people kissing. I don't think this is much of a problem.
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

Believe nothing on the faith of traditions, even though they have been held in honor for many generations and in diverse places. Do not believe a thing because many people speak of it. Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past. Do not believe what you yourself have imagined, persuading yourself that a God inspires you. Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests. After examination, believe what you yourself have tested and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto.

There are plenty of real cases of homophobia in this country - you do not need to spread lies and tarnish the reputation of a family-owned company that employees and serves gays on a daily basis, treats their employees well, and does a great deal of good in their communities. What amazes me most is that until only a couple months ago, BARACK OBAMA was opposed to gay marriage, but he did not receive this level of scorn...not even remotely. Care to explain this, mother fucker? Or perhaps one of your leftist asshole buddies will oblige, since you are so fundamentally retarded that you cannot even engage in a rational discussion - on the contrary, all you seem capable of doing is regurgitating moronic, crudely made cartoons from God knows where.

In this debate, you and your scumbag leftist friends are the real bigots. Seriously, fuck you all.
    Irony indeed.

Except that they teach you in business class 101 not to say stupid shit like that in public. I mean he couldn't be that niave that the people he was talking to wouldn't publicly publish his comments? From a business standpoint it was a dumb bush league thing to do. Just for these very reasons. He's put himself and his company into the crosshairs of a divisive and controversial political firestorn which is just plain bad for business. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

I do that the other way around. I only allow myself one fried food or fast food meal a week.

Never have been a Chick-Fil-A fan. I find their sandwhiches greazy and the meat dry. If I'm in a mood for chicken I much prefer Popeye's or BW3. I'm currently dying for a pizza but since my junk food limit is once per week and my wife is probably the only person on the planet who doesn't like pizza I don't get many opportunities to eat it anymore.

    Don't like pizza!!! That's un-American!!

Actually I find that several people of foreign descent don't like American pizza. But go have some pizza anyway...I mean, a fellow cant deprive himself all the time.

By the looks of the massive crowds overwhelming most Chick-Fil-As across America, it appears people disagree with your assertion he said something stupid.

i was going to eat at Chick Fil a for the first time in my life today. The line went out the front door, across the length of the front of the building and halfway to the back along the side. And I didnt see anyone kissing.
