Good, now that we have settled that....

Do you think this action by Gov. Rick Perry is acceptable or unacceptable?

Banning fireworks during times of extreme drought isn't government interference.

    It's common sense.
WHY THE FUCK ISN'T 007 BANNED?

12.It should be particularly attended to, to avoid any and all mention of descriptive encounters with children. It is unacceptable to bring that onto the board in any context. Do not suggest encounters with another poster and a child, or with yourself and another poster's child.

The proper role of government is to protect the rights of those victimized by the direct action of others. This seems to apply. One does not have the right to endanger others needlessly.
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

I live in the boonies in the deep south. No pots and pans. You do hear quite a few fireworks on the evening of New Years Eve, but at midnight its likely to be shotguns fired iton the air.

exactly, we have similar bans here... no fires of any sort, certainly no fireworks... we are a giant tinderbox right now.

Alaska has these bans all the time. This year fire is not a threat, so people may set off their fireworks. People mostly complain about their dogs being stressed up here! Alaskans are real dog lovers!
An Egyptian writer, Ptah Hotep, put patriarchal beliefs as clearly as
anyone in the early civilizations: "If you are a man of note, found for
yourself a household, and love your wife at home, as it beseems. Fill her
belly, clothe her back. . . . But hold her back from getting the mastery.
Remember that her eye is her stormwind, and her vulva and mouth are her
    strength."
