Default I am sure some on this board would be so proud of the bully

"An Ohio high school student waited in a classroom to attack a 15-year-old gay classmate, beating him repeatedly in a vicious assault captured by a bystander on a cell phone."

This sort of bullshit makes my blood boil. My only hope is that this bully gets what is coming to him.

I can't believe anyone would be proud of such an evil and vicious act.

Alias is proud of it. After all, the victim was going to hell anyhow.
It is the responsibility of every American citizen to own a modern military rifle.

For most of the population you are probably correct. But this forum has some truly vicious and hateful people on it. I would not have believed people would have been proud to say some of the things I've seen posted here either.

Anyone who would condone such an evil act is not worth engaging in discussions. I don't engage rabid dogs in discussions either.

Hope? I always have hope. If you are hoping I will change my views, you'll have to convince me that my current views are wrong. I am quite happy with who I am, what I believe, and what I stand for.

Exposing such bastards to ridicule is worth my time. Especially if it means one person out there sees the evil or the the stupidity in their ways.

When did I say I wanted to change your views?

Exposing evil is always a good thing.

When you tell someone "...there's hope for you", you have pretty much said you do not like or do not approve of who they are now. The "hope" is change.

I disagree with your assumption. I don't know you, and my approval or disapproval of who you are would be irrelevant in any case, even if I cared enough to form such a judgement.

"Hope and change" isn't something that resonates with me.

    Care to name a few?
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.
    - -- Aristotle

Believe nothing on the faith of traditions, even though they have been held in honor for many generations and in diverse places. Do not believe a thing because many people speak of it. Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past. Do not believe what you yourself have imagined, persuading yourself that a God inspires you. Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests. After examination, believe what you yourself have tested and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto.
    - -- The Buddha

It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.
