My God...even when it's obvious to everyone you just cannot admit you made a mistake.
What kind of country have we become?

One in which federal prosecutors can take “evidence” before a “grand jury,”

and that grand jury can “vote to indict” a former president for 91 alleged “crimes”?

It's possible he could have been making a joke knowing that everybody would understand that nobody could mistake a squirrel for a raccoon.
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.
    - -- Aristotle

Believe nothing on the faith of traditions, even though they have been held in honor for many generations and in diverse places. Do not believe a thing because many people speak of it. Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past. Do not believe what you yourself have imagined, persuading yourself that a God inspires you. Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests. After examination, believe what you yourself have tested and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto.

It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.

it amazes me how some people's hate causes them such consternation. i lived in the NW for 10 years and every time we camped we had racoons visit. and we had squirrels like everywhere.....of course i know the difference

Or he actually thought it was a racoon and is now backpedaling, in an attempt to save face.

Let me guess, someone will now start a thread about whether he actually knew what it was, he didn't know what it was, or that Damo changed the picture and hid the evidence that he did so.

That should run into a dozen pages and contain all manner of insults and flames.

That's how clear thinking humans would have interpreted it...
