Taxes have not been cut for over 8 years. A fact you cannot seem to get through your pathetically empty skull.

However, you might ask those who spent 890 billion dollars on "shovel ready jobs" where the fuck those jobs are....

The tax cuts were extended in December.

Republicans said tax cuts would produce jobs.

    Where are they?

You are really a mindless fucking idiot. Totally brainless.

Extending the tax cuts simply kept tax rates at the same level they were set at in 2003. Keeping tax rates the same is not a tax CUT, no matter how you want to spin it.

But we were promised jobs from the stimulus package. So, where are the jobs promised for the $890 billion dollars we spent?

Thanks to the Republican insistence that tax cuts produce jobs, federal income and capital gains tax rates haven't risen in over a decade.

    What has risen since 2001?

    Unemployment.

    Deficits.

Wealth - for the top 3%.

Why don't you ask the president where the jobs are? Obama PROMISED if we passed an $837 billion stimulus bill, the unemployment rate would not go above 8%... it's been near 10% since then. He promised the stimulus would create millions of "shovel ready jobs" ....shovels are ready, where are the jobs?

This is almost comical, if it weren't so serious! You get your guy elected, with a congress completely under the control of your party, you can pass any legislation you wish, and Republicans can't stop a thing.... and you do pass all kinds of things you promise are going to help us.... only to have it all go to hell and turn to shit.... THEN.... you want to turn around and blame this on the Republicans!

Did Bush promise jobs if taxes were cut?

    Were taxes cut?

    Were the tax cuts extended?

    Where are the jobs?

I would LOVE to see the DNC try this approach. I would love to see the MSM take up the cry "where are the jobs from the tax "cuts" last December.

Maybe you should suggest it to them. It would be fun to watch the DNC self-destruct on the completely mindless hubris the far left twits are coming out with these days.

The unemployment average under Bush was the second lowest of the century. If you look at the stats for when the Bush Tax Cuts were enacted, you will find a precipitous drop in unemployment, taking it down to 4%, which is essentially "full employment." It wasn't until AFTER Obama was elected, and enacted his health care reforms, that unemployment spiked to near 10% and has remained there. ASK OBAMA WHERE THE JOBS ARE! ASK OBAMA WHERE THE JOBS WENT!

It's truly unbelievable... I look for, any day now, some pinhead to post a thread holding Republicans responsible for destroying the health care system with their stupid health care reforms! I mean, this is where we're at now with them, they are truly delusional.

Those tax cuts passed in 2001 amid big promises about what they would do for the economy.

    What followed?

The decade with the slowest average annual growth since World War II.

Amazingly, that statement is true even if you forget about the Great Recession and simply look at 2001-7...
Is there good evidence the tax cuts persuaded more people to join the work force (because they would be able to keep more of their income)? Not really. The labor-force participation rate fell in the years after 2001 and has never again approached its record in the year 2000.
Is there evidence that the tax cuts led to a lot of entrepreneurship and innovation?

Again, no. The rate at which start-up businesses created jobs fell during the past decade.

From 2002 to 2007, unemployment dropped from a modest 6.25% (Bush' high) to just over 4% (Bush's low). This proves the tax cuts created jobs. Now, since Obama took the reigns, unemployment has not been below 9%. NO jobs were created, in spite of his promises, in spite of $837 billion spent for that specific purpose, and we remain mired at near 10%, with REAL unemployment approaching 20%, and much worse for minorities and youth.

From a political standpoint.... I say this with all sincerity.... PLEASE run with this! PLEASE try and convince the American voter that the current jobless economy is the fault of Bush and his tax cuts! I honestly HOPE AND PRAY that's the best you can come up with this go around, we'll bury you!

Apparently, America's job creators can create a lot more jobs when their taxes are higher - even much higher - than they are today.

The epic failures of the Bush tax cuts for America's supposed job creators hardly end there.

The U.S. poverty rate began rising in 2005, well before the onset of the December 2007 Bush recession.

Average household income fell after the Bush tax cuts of 2001 and 2003, dropping to about $58,500 in 2008 from $61,500 in 2000.

The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities found that the Bush tax cuts accounted for almost half of the mushrooming deficits during his tenure, and, if made permanent, over the next 10 years would contribute more to the U.S. budget deficit than the Obama stimulus, the TARP program, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and revenue lost to the recession put together.

As the data show, the Bush tax cuts provided a massive payday for the wealthy, helping fuel record income inequality.

Despite that record failure, House Republicans want to give the job creators who don't create jobs another jaw-dropping tax cut.

Does the GOP think voters will fall for the "tax-cuts mean jobs" lie again?

OBAMA, UPON SIGNING THE EXTENSION OF BUSH-ERA TAX CUTS:

We are here with some good news for the American people this holiday season. By a wide bipartisan margin, both Houses of Congress have now passed a package of tax relief that will protect the middle class, that will grow our economy, and will create jobs for the American people. Not only do I want to thank all the leaders here today, but I want to thank mayors and governors from across the country who couldn’t be here today, and all who worked together to get this done.

First and foremost, the legislation I’m about to sign is a substantial victory for middle-class families across the country. They’re the ones hit hardest by the recession we’ve endured. They’re the ones who need relief right now. And that’s what is at the heart of this bill.

This bipartisan effort was prompted by the fact that tax rates for every American were poised to automatically increase on January 1st. If that had come to pass, the average middle-class family would have had to pay an extra $3,000 in taxes next year. That wouldn’t have just been a blow to them -- it would have been a blow to our economy just as we’re climbing out of a devastating recession.

I refused to let that happen. And because we acted, it’s not going to. In fact, not only will middle-class Americans avoid a tax increase, but tens of millions of Americans will start the New Year off right by opening their first paycheck to see that it’s actually larger than the one they get right now.

So are you now claiming this was all a bold-face lie on the part of Obama????

    They said 8.5%. It's currently 9.1%.
