Last night I got up in the middle of the night, and went to the bathroom. then i washed my hands. I could see my figure in the dark, but I immediately refused to look into the mirror in the pitch black.

I have been psychologically conditioned not to look into the mirror in the dark. it freaks me the fuck out.

Mirrors are perhaps the creepiest thing that, in theory, there shouldn't be any reason to be creeped out about. I contracted a phobia for mirrors when I tried bloody mary as a kid, and it never went away. Fuck looking in the mirror whenever it's dark, I don't go into rooms with mirrors without turning the light on, and if I find myself in one I panic. They do often creep me out even with the lights on. When I take a shower the phobia often kicks in a little bit just because I can't watch the mirror in the room.

To be fair my house is pretty creepy though. We're essentially alone in the middle of the woods and you constantly get a barrage of weird sounding noises from the sounds of the highway reflecting over the empty hollows.
