Well, my company would like to hire more people, but sales have been way down sense Nov, 2008. Strangest thing.
If we didn't have to deal with gov't mandates, and certain taxes we could invest in hiring.

I totally agree with your first statement, but government mandates and certain taxes are just as big of a problem and causes companies to move. My company does business with other companies. Not the public.
My company is trying to get out of this country just like other companies have done, and are doing. For no other reason than government mandates and taxes.

They're not just as big a part of the problem.
Take away taxes and you still would go overseas. For cheaper labor. That's a fact.
The cost of living is higher here, because companies gouge americans to subisdize operations in third world markets. It's a chicken and egg scenario.
