seriously, if you're too drunk to drive, wtf are you doing behind the wheel? granted, you may be too drunk to realize it, but plan ahead. if you know you're going to drink and you don't have a limit, plan ahead. how hard can this be?
happen to catch a hearing this week where the defendant was drunk, behind the wheel, so drunk, that he crashed through a fence, into the yard and hit 3 children, pinning a fourth to the wall while the father and mother watched in horror and tried to get the guy to STOP the car....the drunk motherfucker instead backs up and runs over againand KILLs 3 of the children

Back in the day drinking and driving was accepted. I've done my share of it and thank God that I've been lucky and never hurt anyone or even got caught. Part of it is that I have always been at least responsible enough to slow down and be as careful as I could.
I've never been so drunk though, driving or just sitting on my ass, to have disregard for human life like this defendant did. North Carolina has prosecuted folks like this with capital murder. I hope your state has the balls to go after him with this degree of vengeance.

There is really no tolerance in California for this kind of senseless murder, and make no mistake, it is murder. When you make the initial decision to put the alcohol in your system, it's the first step in compromising your clear thinking and judgment. If you're an alcoholic, such as this man surely has to be, he lost his ability to control his drinking long before this incident.
How do you live knowing you've done something like this?
