It's pretty clear he was aiming at the government telling us what kind of insurance to buy. She wants to support it so bad, she'll do or say anything...
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.
    - -- Aristotle

Believe nothing on the faith of traditions, even though they have been held in honor for many generations and in diverse places. Do not believe a thing because many people speak of it. Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past. Do not believe what you yourself have imagined, persuading yourself that a God inspires you. Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests. After examination, believe what you yourself have tested and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto.

But concurrently, she did reveal her belief that it's ok for the government to tell us what to eat.

A high carb low protein diet is the diet cults use to weaken a person's ability to think clearly.

the low glycemic index diet (atkins) is the only one that really works with diet changes alone, but still they wage war on animal fat, not sugar. sugar is fed to the children at school subsidized corporate vending machines.

You and I actually agree on something? Wow

Sugar is everywhere and is as harmful to our bodies as many drugs the gov't outlaws.

When you go to a fast food place, look at the ingredients on the salt packets. Lots of them have sugar as an ingredient in their salt.

This will happen more as your culturally submerged humanity begins to emerge, due to my constant infusion of truth serum.

You can point at me all you want. If you want to discuss the problems with the diet of the average american, I am all for it. If you want to make it all about your loony conspiracy theories, I'll have to pass.

So nobody wants globalization? nobody wants to put americans out of work in favor of foreign state abused laborerers? Nobody want to change immigration laws to glut the labor pool? It seems like a bipartisan push.

Which part of that is theoretical?

As for the globalization, with the advances in communication and travel technologies, it is inevitable. And with the ever growing demand for cheaper goods, manufacturers will continue to seek out cheaper ways to produce their products. Those that did so won, those that didn't lost. Those are economic facts. I am not denying them at all. But I am also not agreeing with your conspiracy theory that it is some vast plan to undermine and destroy us all. Just because there are a few facts sprinkled in, doesn't mean the entire theory is accurate.

As for someone wanting to rewrite the immigration to flood the labor pool. What people want is a labor pool that is willing to actually work. Even in these tough economic times, with high unemployment, many americans are still not willing to do hard labor to make a living.

Kagan would have to admit that she wouldn't listen if the government were given the power to tell Americans what to eat.

She can't even tell herself what is appropriate to eat. Clearly she is overweight and carries toxic fat in the belly and underneath her chin.

no it isn't. This is another brainwashed trope of the internationalist fascist.

But still, business has always been and should be conducted within a framework of other values and considerations.

Are the scores out? I didn't know the game was over.

    it's just having that effect.

Right. All americans are lazy. is bad mouthing people all you have left?

The fact is that your globalization stupidity is a race to the bottom.

the labor pool has been glutted, by the federal government shirking it's duty.

You seem to think the nation exists to serve the interests of large corporations only. that's your moral defect to bare.

A corporation's sole function is profit. If you think it is governed by some namby-pamby, Kumbya ideas that they will make the world a better place and serve all mankind, you are more delusional than I thought.

I am bad mouthing people based on my personal experiences. I have worked in numerous places that required manual labor. It has always been easier to hire americans than to hire immigrants (legal or illegal). But the work done by americans is, more often than not, inadequate. Without supervision american laborers usually don't produce up to par. While immigrant laborers will bust their asses to get the work done. The reason for this is not where they were born. It is mainly due to the fact that the americans with a decent work ethic aren't in the labor pool because the applied themselves to learning a skill.

As for the score being final, it is not. But its late in the game and the shopping habits of americans is not going to change. As long as american workers get top dollar to produce what workers in other nations will produce for 1/10 the cost, and as long as the american shoppers demand bargains for their shrinking dollar (over any other consideration), those companies that do not play the game will lose.

Can you give me an example of a single product that americans pay more for just because it is produced here and helps our economy?

And it is not "just having that effect". The world is now shopping globally. Either companies compete with that or they are screwed.

The single minded profit motive of corporations is precisely why the neocon/libertarian/globalist notion of ignoring all other values is basically fascism.

Because manual work became unsustainable to do fascists importing a more desperate replacement population

    of course they are.

Like i said, a race to the bottom condition is on, to the detriment of americans. And they're importing workers to do "good jobs" too.

Can you give me an example of a single product that americans pay more for just because it is produced here and helps our economy?
Blah blah. irrelevant much? yes. you are.

And it is not "just having that effect". The world is now shopping globally. Either companies compete with that or they are screwed.
And we have massive unemployment. you have offered no real defense of your race to the bottom idiocy.
