Because nobody including him in his administration have the first clue how to do it.

Where the hell are these guys? Are they already on the scene? They have to be. Tell me they've been consulted at the very least.

I have not heard them mentioned in the news at all. Shouldn't we be hearing about some of the actions they've been taking in the last 50+ days?

Because like everyone else I haven't the first clue how to fix it.

Army corp of engineers is a 4 letter word in NAWLINS, they can't engineer a decent pile of mud into a levee much less work on a well.

Yeah, because that's what I'm talking about - evacuation before the hurricane.

No, Dix - it's when all of those people who stayed were stranded in the floods, for days.

And, unlike you, I don't see their offense of not evacuating when told as punishable by death, so they were still in need of rescue in my book.

Well that explains that. I wasn't aware how they fared at drilling and such, but at the very least, we could use their disaster response actions. they have to have something they can add to the effort

Democrats were pieces of shit on the Katrina rescues, the Coast Guard rescued thousands of morons too lazy to take the free bus the fuck out.

Uhm... does it not matter that they were given AMPLE warning to evacuate? That they had DAYS before the hurricane hit, to make a plan and move to a safer place? You can't possibly protect people from their own stupidity! What you are asking for here, is not possible for the Federal government to do! Have you ANY idea of what it would cost to have Federal rescue teams stationed and ready in every major American city? First of all, we simply don't have the manpower to do that, much less the money it would cost to maintain such a system. Traditionally, we have relied on State and Local governments to handle this aspect of a disaster. The Federal government is there to ASSIST in the AFTERMATH! They are NOT first responders in a disaster, and they never have been, for ANY disaster at ANY time in history!

Democrats made this bed of false accusations and faux outrage on Bush/Katrina. Now sleep in it as Obama must reap it.

Again, I'm not talking about evacuation beforehand. Are you not able to read properly?

As for the aftermath, that's a much more obvious example of failed leadership, with people in need of rescue, than your desperate charge that he should somehow be capping the well, when clearly, people with decades of industry experience & technology at their disposal are still unable to.

You even admitted that Bush is culpable for some of the failure of Katrina. Yet now it's a 'false accusation'?

You are the board schizophrenic, without doubt.
